re: Is a soil test/geotech report overkill or necessary?

I assume this site has public sewer and will not require a septic system? You have some good comments here, but I would add there are some areas that have sensitive soils (Jackson, MS). In areas like this I would definitely have one and have the foundation designed. A pretty good indicator if you are in an area with sensitive soils are the roads in the area. Areas with high shrink/swell soils are going to usually have rough roads that have to be leveled and repaired often.
If it is an where septic is required, I would at least have the area where the system would be installed tested to make sure it can handle the number of bedrooms you want to install.

I share your opinion on bok choy, but I mainly eat mine raw right out of the garden. About 5 years ago I had a dwarf variety that quickly became my favorite, but I don't recall the name of it. Back then I mainly used Baker Seeds, so this year I purchased all the baby/tiny verities I could find to try and figure it out.

Not much help on planting, but this is my go to for best price on seedlings. Yes they are seedlings, but I have ordered from them 7 or 8 times in the past and I have always been happy with the results.
Missouri Tree Sales
They start taking orders in early Sept so some things are going to be sold out by now.

Only “deal” I received was a $7500 off tax credit — no sales person to deal with at Tesla. Everything is done through the app!
I had the same $7500 off, but I wanted to mention Tesla is now offering leases on used vehicles in some states (I believe Texas is one of the states). Being able to drive a Tesla for what I expect is less than $200 a month, is a good deal. If I had a kid in school, I think would be a good vehicle for them. Lots of parent controls like max speed, max % of speed over speed limit, etc.

Im looking for personal help. With different tasks in life right now.
Can you elaborate a little more on the tasks? I am using chatGBT more and more. When I first started playing with it it was just to ask it questions or prepare things, but that was it. I did a few training sessions to learn more about AI and how to use it to be more productive and the one thing that really hit home was the individuals that use it like a team member, and not just as a tool, are the ones that get the most out of it. It was difficult, and is still difficult, but I am getting better at giving it feedback.
I don't know if I will follow through with this or not, but I am thinking about doing a project this year with it fishing. The idea is getting as much information about a couple lakes in the area and input information on tackle uses, fish caught, water conditions, weather conditions, time of day, etc and see how it does with suggestions on tackle, areas to fish, etc. I have considered doing this with my garden too.
Years ago, I had a friend that did something similar to this with ArcGIS for his fishing and surfing locations. It helped people understand it could be used for alot more than flood maps, etc.
I have been using Grok more and more recent, especially in my Tesla. This morning while the car was driving me to work, I had it make a grocery list by naming a couple of things I want to grill/make over the weekend by having it find the recipes and making the shopping list.

Niche manufacturer, but cars are overly complicated with software controls. Much designed to limit your use without a subscription model.
Make care less electronic and more mechanical and people will buy again.
I think the electric car manufacturers are just trying to offer the things that Tesla offers but they don't have the ability to do it because they are years behind on experience and testing. On my Tesla, all the controls in the vehicle are either on the steering wheel or on the screen so if you ever have any mechanical issues with them, service can just replace them. I think it also cuts down on the manufacturing cost. The interior/dash on my Model Y is sleek, simple, and productive. Yes productive, especially with grok being connected and the ability to use the microphone
I have a neighbor with a 5-year-old Tesla that with the software updates now has FSD (Fully Supervised Driving). I doubt he ever thought he would have his car driving him automatically when he purchased it, What other car can you buy that gets better after you purchase it?
I bought this vehicle to get around town to cut down on mileage of my other vehicle which I absolutely loved. I have had my Tesla for 5 months now and I have only driven my other vehicle twice, just to run it a little and let it charge the battery. I am going to sell it soon, which is something I never thought I would do.

Machine dispensers always gunks up in the dispensers. But your dispenser is the most simple kind. The softner goes in a cup and spins out during the spin cycle. Unlike most other styles it doesn't use water to expel it. So usually they 100% empty. To still have fluid would either mean too much is being used, there is a blockage in where it runs in the agitator or its not spinning at full speed. But if the latter your clothes would be soaked at end of cycle.
Learned something new. Thanks for posting this.

I really don't understand all the anger from Ole Miss fans. 30-40 years from now they will just claim this was a National Championship for them because they were able to find someone that stated they were the best team in the Nation. It's not like they are ever going to win a legitimate National Championship.
