Yes, subsidies are relevant because they have artificially stabilized the ag sector. While the subsidies aren’t going away, tariffs have introduced relative instability that again, occurs regularly in other sectors of our economy.
Tech instability? Learn the weld
Finance instability? Should’ve been a plumber
Govt layoffs? World needs plenty of bahtenders
Ag instability? OMG OMG OMG I DIDNT VOTE FOR THIS!!!! I NEED A GOVT HANDOUT BECAUSE I CANT ADAPT LIKE I EXPECT EVERYONE ELSE TO

My newfound distaste for Trump is well founded. I will explain to you exactly how this obese orange fool has fricked each an every man I work with up the arse. Keep in mind, we foolishly voted for this fricking troll. My family farms soybeans, the frickery is far reaching, nonetheless. We have been crippled for three big reasons.
1.) Tariffs: Retaliatory tariffs by China. This caused exports in soy, pork, and wheat to almost be cut in half.
2.) Farm prices fell drastically. Even if our yields were acceptable.
The bottom line:
A.) Trade wars Trump created cut off major exports
B.) Crop prices stay low
C.) Costs rose faster than revenue
D.) Aid replaced sales
I voted for this cocksucker THREE times, he has fricked me up the arse at every corner. The sycophants on here need to understand that there are legitimate reasons for conservatives strongly disliking Trum
look mother fricker...i disagree with trump on some thing and am 100% not a MAGA trumper that thinks he is always right
but with that said...frick you. Yall have been living off government subsidies for decades. Food prices are higher than ever.
you cant expect us to have all our shite tariffed and never have a return tariff when we are the one with the most powerful market and hold all the leverage
you arent a conservative. quit acting like you are. If you were...you would want free trade. You dont, you want big daddy gov to control the price of everything. You would want us to match tariff for tariff because that makes things equal and fair.
you want to live off the tit of the government, just like 90% of most farmers.....frick off bitch

Never run into anyone who only farmed soybeans. Rotations are mostly rice & beans or corn & bean.

Interesting, I see other farmers who think highly of him. Which of you are lying?

Sounds to me like you gave yourself away here. Doesn't sound like you liked him in 2024, either.

i wanted to address this....
so why should china get to put tariffs on goods we export, but us not put them on chinese imports?

market economy. you also are one of the most heavily subsidized industries in the world.

ummm that was inflation from biden admin. Trump has only been in office a freaking year.
you arent very smart so good thing you are a farmer. because economics is not your thing. The fact that you think Trump could magically make things better in a year is fricking laughable'
i dont even like tariffs or trade wars.....but it sure as frick aint right for countries like china and canada to tariff the frick out of our exports and us not have any on imports from them.

Funny you mentioned this.. I watch a little documentary last night about how farmers are literally picking up their farms in blue states and moving the entire fricking farm to red states. Hundreds of farms have left California and other blue states. This means that they had to move all of their animals, equipment, etc
So I ask... Are you in a blue state? Probably so.

Youre dumb. Sold years ago but been around and farmed my whole life. Soybeans rice
You and I both know youve been getting all kinds of aid for years. At every corner, in every way. Subsidies help bad farmers, at times.
Too much to go into, but you being nutthurt at a leader thats trying to cut thru the bullshite where OTHER COUNTRIES CONTROL OUR PRICES thru farmers, is completely crazy
Diesel prices were kicking your arse, now he has a handle on that, but its not enough for you.
You want everything priced low, and your products price high....good fing luck.
He's doing what he promised and it might cause temporary setbacks, for longer term AMERICAN growth.
If you think no one is killing it farming, put your land for sale today.....it will be bought before February

When soybean prices are depressed try something else. Surely you don’t grow soybeans only? We rotate corn, wheat and soybeans but now have cut the soy out. Also have beef and tobacco. I would think a fourth generation farmer would diversify.

Sorry you're having these issues, but you've always been very dramatic on here. How much in government subsidies have you received while farming?

Oh cry me a river. Name another occupation that gets paid to not work ie layout land. Crop insurance to cover disasters, bailout loans, etc. Crop loans, eguipment loans, etc. Farming is a welfare state. You sir need to learn to code.
Farmers are always on the government teat. Ive never met a poor ole farmer yet.

I work in an industry that is generally directly impacted negatively by Trump's policies. This has a direct financial impact on me. So far, the impact would have paid for a new higher end car.
That said, his policies are bad for me from a financial perspective personally, but good for the country.
I accept that and am totally OK with it.

You boomer leeches and your globalist, anti-Christian, feminist, pro homo, anti-white policies have had your day. Yes is it US vs YOU and you will be defeated.
