All those staying out in protest will be reaping what they sow. They sure showed Trump. Dumb asses.

They thought no way we turn blue and I will have stood up for principle.

Gulp!

All the possibilities were presented by the enemy.

Let's argue over which of their excuses are right, instead of uniting under the truth.

The father of lies doesn't win anything, he steals.

Regardless - let me be hidden.

Who am I to stand against the will of God?

Let's have fun watching them live with it.

From the VP:

Apollster told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:

1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel

It’s right thee for ya, although I’d add Trumps insistence on maintaining a two tier justice system to the list

Interesting article on American Thinker about this.

Look up "A Texas Mystery: Talarico got more votes than Hillary, Biden, and Kamala"

It didn't happen. The GOP somehow, miraculously, retained a super majority in the state Senate. Better question would be, how could anyone not see that the elections were rigged?

The elections were rigged in a state that (before the election) was controlled lock stock and barrel by the Republicans? OK. Is your dumbass theory that the democrats successfully cheated despite total republican control, or, that there was a big conspiracy including texas republicans to cheat to get themselves kicked out of office?

Don't do this to yourself, man.

If you can't look around the real world and see why this blue swing might've happened, you need to get out more. Republicans were campaigning on "such and such LED a transgender parade in Peru in 2004!"

While the Dems had a full depot of ammo to campaign on thanks to Trump and the feckless losers in Congress. Republicans led with transgender issues in their ads, while people's gas and electric bills are double what they were a few years ago. People vote with their wallets, it's a saying that dates back decades.

I'm sure there was some small scale election frickery, but there always is. Even when Trump and Rs dominated the polls two years ago

From the VP:

I like his post. I think he's mostly correct. But in Texas there were statewide state races that had almost nothing to do with JD's post and they all got trounced.

Some were poor candidates. But were the Dems better? Not really.

TBH, I don't think there was a single conservative candidate in TX entire history that would've won Tuesday. Let that sink in.

it is not as much of a blue swing as one might think, at least not in fiscal ideology

when the ISD Bond Issues and Tax Hikes all failed all around the state, this is not an ideology result at all. This is a candidates driven result

the turnout numbers dont make any sense, even compared to the turnouts in 2024 and 2020 POTUS elections but I think it was a myriad of reasons that lead to the results we saw on Tuesday, not any 1 or 2.

Way more reasons than that

I wonder how the new lefty Texas Gov is going to pay for all of the shite they are going to want to do. The budget fight is first on the agenda in Jan 2027, that is probably the only thing this legislature passes this first go round.

It's not true, and you know it. You challenged the claim in the very thread you just linked and I answered you there too. No, the entire state did not go blue.
