Lots of lawyer answers in your post. Techs put out the pills and the pharmacist double counts them from time to time. Everyone has a duty to double check their work. The medical industry has been hiring halfnwits for a while dirt cheap instead of educated people.

When you drive over a bridge do you want wig wearing 5th grade educated person making tension and sag numerical decisions as well as strength of materials? We need those wig wearers because pharmacists cost too much money to hire more and they do their jobs with care. Even for the lawyer loaded medical industry which is the biggest lobbyists in the world.

Time to cut 50% of the medical industry out and pay the qualified people to do their jobs. The second the damned government got involved in medicine it went to shite with DEI hires and leftists strong arming who is caring for patients.

It may or may not be DEI, but DEI is associated with a drop of quality. To even have to have this question raised is a major problem.

Yep, the globalization of our medical delivery system is descending on us. My daughter is an RN and a darned good one. She was informed by her healthcare company that layoffs are in the works. This follows an annoucement about six months ago, her healthcare company was allocating part of their workload to foreigners. It's all about profit now.

I'll say it. All of this idiocracy going on in healthcare is the result of obamacare and the creation of these healthcare companies. All of them worshiping at the altar of obamacare subsidies. I'm watching the best healthcare delivery system in history be destroyed by the policies put in place by one empty suit named Barook Hussein Obama.

Don't ignore massive fraud as well. I darned near died, because my cardiologist was running all these expensive test, billing my HMO, then telling me everything was okay and sent me home. I trusted him and my general practicioner. I now realize they were in cahoots. I wonder how many other crooked doctors are stealing the system blind?

Apparently, my HMO knew of the fraud because they announced they were pulling their coverage out of my state. My former employer informed me they were switching to another HMO with a completely new set of doctors including a new family doctor. Most likely, that move saved my life. The morning I was scheduled for an appointment with my new family doctor, my BP shot up to 190/110. My new family doctor confirmed my B/P and after lecturing me on the danger of untreated hypertension, immediately sent me to a new cardiologist who put me on B/P medicine.

Yep, I had chronic hypertension, and that crooked cardiologist did not treat me for the condition.

Thankfully I always kept myself in reasonability good shape - an avid jogger. In hindsight, prolly saved my life.

Like I said, it's all about profit now.
