Anyone with any sense knows the chemotherapy racket is just that. My highest contempt is for oncologists, the modern day equivalent of medieval blood-letters, who actually tell desperate patients that they’re “cancer free.” Knowing that there’s no way to know that for sure. These witch doctors take your last dime and vacation in Europe while you puke your guts out in the tub.

My take? Mom’s dead. Any legit kidnapper seeking ransom would have sent proof of life and concrete ransom demand fairly quickly. The transaction would have been negotiated shortly after that.
Waiting a week to finally say you’re ready to pay? Come on. Someone in the family pissed somebody off big time and Mom has paid the price. The body will be found in the desert one day. What makes this case interesting is the motive. That will be the real news in the future.
