On some financial forum the other day people were saying Ford a tech company now.
That is exactly why GM and Ford have gone so big into EV's, with GM claiming all electric by '35.
Boost that stock price.

Please don't charge your cars. Please don't use big appliances. Please don't leave lights on.
So basically California wants you to sit in the dark doing nothing from 6pm to 7 am.
Or maybe they want you to go outside and ride a bike...so you can get accosted by the homeless or the violent criminals they let out under pretense of Covid.

Need more nuclear. It's ridiculous we have blackouts in America.

I cannot fathom why any productive person would choose to live in the Democratic Peoples Republic of California. Imagine not being able to deliver cheap and accessible electricity to any state in America!

Better have those needle/puncture-proof tires! And geez do not crash and fall off!

Sooooooo......just a few facts to add to this. Currently there are approximately 276 million cars in the US. Approximately 2 million of those 276 million are electric vehicles. How exactly are we going to find the amount of power necessary to power 274 million additional new electric vehicles?
Vehicles for individuals will be obsolete before we replace the ICE fleet with majority EVs. The EV push is a finger pointing policy for politicians and it's become a status symbol in the Western U.S. and population centers for rich people. They have limited utility for most people, still too expensive and inefficient without tax credits and do absolutely nothing in regards to slowing emissions, pollution etc...

Maybe instead of paying 5.5B on past rents, they should invest in a better power grid
But how would that help them buy votes?
Posted on 6/23/21 at 3:06 pm to Crimson Wraith
What do you mean the power from electric vehicles has to come from somewhere?

Without looking, I guarantee you a good chunk of Twitter is saying, “But, muh freezing Texans.”
Meanwhile, actual Texans didn’t really give a crap.

told residents several times to voluntarily conserve energy, including asking them on social media to stop charging their electric vehicles during peak usage times.
Gavin Newsom? not so bright. liberal government policies will be their doom.
