No it’s a societal question. As another poster pointed out it impacts the community more broadly and the infrastructure: schools, hospitals, services and the taxes necessary to support same.

I’ll just conclude by saying, walkable towns with a limited mix of housing options, businesses, retail, etc. can be pretty nice.

I'd love to see some of this in Potomac, MD....let the libs stew in their own juices...

Sounds like they’re really addressing the affordability question.

The writing has been on the wall for years for CA residents. Any Christian, private sector worker, single family homeowner, Caucasian, or straight person that remains living there deserves to lose everything.

Rich “arse holes”. Clearly.
Ski towns are filled with rich assholes that expect their every need to be met, yet bristle at the idea of housing or better wages for the lower income workers that provide those services
Seems I struck a nerve
Again I'm certain you're not among that number and you're taking this way too personally. I replied to your msg because it was the last post
Cheers

That doesn't really apply here. The supply is a function of government. Not the market.
I was referring to the conversation I am having with the poster about rich assholes buying mountain homes.

So using the government to intentionally decrease people’s property values is good in your view?
Removing government, not using it.
Can't use government power if that power doesn't exist

Typical liberal projection. You’re the one melting about rich arse holes. Supply and demand has been around a long time. If you want to make more money develop skills that allow for that to happen.

It’s hard to even begin to tell you how idiotic you are.

Unless you’re a libertarian or anarchist who believes in no zoning or other urban-planning codes/regs then your argument is absurd.
If you are a libertarian or anarchist you get a pass if you clarify. You may also still be an idiot, but at least potentially internally consistent and perhaps somewhat intellectually honest.

If you bought a home in an area under the pretext of a certain zone then you absolutely should be outraged.
Anyone buying a house assuming that local zoning laws should be chisled in stone for all time is an idiot.

Yeah I would consider myself a libertarian that votes GOP due to the lack of candidate viability.

By opening up more supply?

Workers can develop all the skills they want and I hope they do. But someone's got to sweep the streets, change the sheets in the hotel, etc. The world needs ditch diggers too, and that requires low wage workers. when ski towns make housing impossible those workers will disappear
So back to the original topic instead of addressing your constant insults...

You no read good?
A $1.5M teardown turned into 3 homes each more expensive than the $1.5M house.

I'm confused, are you worried about section 8 housing opening up next door or a million dollar condo?
