Obama pushed to put section 8 housing in middle class suburbs.

One underlying issue here is that a huge problem we have is that Washington DC and it's surrounding areas have become too big for their own good.
The Federal state needs to be broken up

You don't know what you are talking about.

He doesn’t.
Another thing - neither do you.

How so? You haven't even really offered a position outside of trolling the thread so I'm not sure how to respond to that

My position is that MoCo is free to do what they want in their county council jamboree meetings.
Nothing they do will really address the problem of “affordable housing” in an area like MoCo.
The rich will find ways to insulate themselves from this and/or they’ll leave MoCo. Capital is supremely mobile.
When none of the machinations of the commie-lite county council work, they’ll start instituting more authoritarian measures to reach a goal. And they’ll inevitably have somewhat of the opposite effect that they’re intended to have.
Tale as old as time.

How are duplexes/triplexes Section 8 housing?

Look up Montgomery County, Maryland Will Jawando's bills. The STEP Act and Freedom to Leave Act notably limit police capabilities.
Montgomery County and much of Maryland is more liberal than California.

This is what passes for a serious question from Walt.

It is serious. Or are you assuming that everything that is not a single-family home is nothing but garbage HUD-backed rentals?

They aren’t, until they are.

When “Section 8” pays for the housing, it’s Section 8 housing. Are you restarted?

What stops SFHs from becoming Section 8?
