Are there 30 foot high fences around these areas?

The story on the Simpson County murder is that the perp did work for the Blairs. The Blair's had sold property and had a bunch of cash which drew his attention

I don't think fixing "family and income" is going to move the needle as much as you'd hope.

People love to cope about "socioeconomic factors" but at any income bracket, black people still have higher rates of crime than the other races. Its not about money.

Obviously, this issue is not going away as there doesn’t seem to be much appetite to address the root causes.

Single mother households, government taking over the role of father in the nuclear family, rewarding and glorifying single motherhood. The removal of personal responsibility and accountability in society, schools, legal systems.

You are right. Not much appetite to address the root causes.

Mississippi actually is in the top 3rd of education in the nation now. The problem is generational single parent homes and cultural rot.

All of these senseless acts of violence - the brutal disturbing stabbing of Iryna Zarutska and now Austin Metcalf is the result of a slow burn decline in respect for life. A decline in respect for life triggered by a democrat SCOTUS ruling on January 22, 1973 Roe v Wade.

There is always dire consequences that flow from really bad choices.

FACT - The rise of the low impulse black youth can be traced back to the collapse of the nuclear family. I was there I saw the almost immediate negative impact of democrat social welfare policies. Those policies created the single welfare mom raising kids fathered by different men AND the era of the absent black father. Tragic actually.

About 30 years ago I had the oppertunity to engage in a conversation with a wonderful young black Christiam man. He was studying at the University of Dallas towards a degree in social work - Counselling. As part of his cirriculum he took on the task of counselling a group of troubled inner city young black teenagers. At one point in our conversation he said something that has stuck with me all these years. He said - the problem I see with those troubled young black boys in my group is there is no one to tell them - no you can't do that and I won't let you do that. They were bascially left to raise themselves on the streets.

Young children, especially teenagers need clearly defined boundries.....boundries enforced by a fully engaged parents. They need routine, continuity, and affirmation. The need love.

Now these low impulse control fatherless young black men (and girls) are raging.

And the most disturbing thought about all this? We're about to hand power back to the corrupt democrats who created this problem in the first place.

Hell is the absence of God

Not until the African American community gets fed up and addresses the issue head on. So probably not.

You can blame a lot of things, but Roe v Wade isn't one of them.

If anything, that decision contributed to the declining crime rates in the late 80s. Maybe it's a factor and maybe it isn't. But there's a very strong correlation/causation there.

If Roe v Wade is a factor at all, your theory suggests crime would have gone up in the late 80s.

The public education systems in those cities have been turned into giant grifts.

St. Louis Public Schools spends over $20,000/pupil.

None of them can read (slight hyperbole).
