Your unfettered support for a NY liberal is comical. This isn’t a Trump thread, however. What we are seeing currently dates back 75 years in its origins. Liberals took over academia, removed God from schools, destroyed the family structure, ascribed virtue to the virtue-less.

The 25th Anniversary of 9/11 marks some weird things.

On 9/10/2001, we had essentially been away from war in any meaningful way for a decade and had been separated for nearly 25 years from a long term, sustained war.

Our national debt was negligible compared to present day. Things we see today, like support for a woman who admits murdering her kids, a Muslim mayor of NYC, woke culture acceptance, etc., were unimaginable.

Now, we are on the backside of a 20 year war, have engaged in a new ME war, debt is out of control, Congress is totally useless, woke culture is embraced and socialism is spreading like a virus.

Is there any way to right the ship? Are the good times really over for good?

Well, I recant my thread. Paul Finebaum (Sankey’s mouthpiece) just recanted his statements from earlier today and said LSU won’t be kicked out.

It appears some deal has been reached.

But he will have tail coverage from his employment.

In that declaration, Sankey described a meeting of the other 15 SEC presidents and chancellors (LSU’s president was not part of it) that took place the previous Friday, September 4. He said the consensus reached at that meeting “was and continues to be” that LSU’s continued membership would be inconsistent with the conference’s values — and specified that this held true even if LSU didn’t roster the former NFL players.

So to be precise about sequencing:

• Fri, Sept 4: The 15 non-LSU presidents/chancellors met informally and reached that consensus.
• Tue, Sept 8 (today): Sankey’s declaration describing that consensus was filed with the court as part of the SEC’s amended complaint, which also set the Sept 10 special meeting to formally vote on LSU’s membership.

I respectfully disagree. That may be the by-product, but this is about LSU…Kiffin, Wade, Landry, etc…

The talk of LSU backing down makes no sense. What are they to back down from.

Sankey’s own words said they don’t care if they don’t roster the players. They are kicking LSU out for allegedly colluding with players to sue the conference.

There is no concession to make and the SEC is not looking for one.

Sankey has said it’s happening.

EDIT: Finebaum just said on CNN that LSU is not getting voted out. He said the opposite earlier today on his show. He’s a mouthpiece for Sankey. I withdraw everything I said. LSU will not get voted out, it appears.

Greg Sankey:

The SEC is preemptively seeking a restraining order preventing LSU from preventing the meeting Thursday and the results of the meeting from being enforced.

He’s telling you that they are kicking LSU out and attempting to prevent them from doing anything about it (like seek their own remedy).

The presumption is that LSU would seek its own TRO to allow it to finish the SEC season.

The SEC is asking Judge Annemarie Carney Axon to prohibit LSU and Louisiana officials not merely from stopping Thursday’s meeting, but from seeking judicial intervention to delay or undo a termination vote.

Sankey has said LSU is getting kicked out and they’ve taken legal steps to block LSU from being able to stop it.

I’d bet there are termination for cause and/or convenience clauses in the contracts we have with SEC and ABC/ESPN.
