What will be interesting is if they have to hire an up-and-comer, like Charlie Weiss Jr, or can hire a coach that has competed for championships as a head coach.
This OM team tried to preserve as much of what Lane created as possible, even down to the OC that worked under Lane.

All joking aside, I think Ole Miss has adjusted well, with the Grove Collective, to modern football and is a sustainable, competitive program.
The last few years they’ve had a good coach and a historically easy schedule by SEC standards, especially 2024 and 2025. They’ve also enjoyed some really good QB play with Corral, Dart and Chambliss.
I personally think Pete will ultimately be a disaster. What they do after Pete will be telling.
At the end of the day, Ole Miss has won nothing of significance since pre-integration. The laws of averages would dictate that has to change at some point. Who knows when though.

Great boats. Unsinkable. Can be used for light offshore use. Not super skinny but good for LA, TX and MS marshes. Great family boat too…will seat 10 people.

The thing that concerns me is that part of the basis for our motion is predicated on acknowledging that the SEC can kick us out, and is almost flaunting that fact as a mechanism to undermine the arguments of the SEC.
There are at least 3 schools (OM, TN and AL) that were zealously advocating for our dismissal before the season.
I think our argument, if successful, could result in Sankey pursuing that option.

The team is getting better, can beat every team remaining on the schedule.

Bottom line, now more any time in the past, the fanbase needs to throw their weight behind the team. The SEC hates us, the commissioner hates us and most of the country hates us. Kiffin needs and deserves us reserving negativity for a couple years.
