It's the point. You work until you gain capital you use capital to leverage more capital. The more you own the less you need to produce. .

You have obviously never read 1984 ...

"We have always been at war with Eurasia"

Our government has never experienced any period of austerity in the last 175+ years (post Civil War) ...

But you believe that is the goal that neoliberal politicians are striving for because they tell you that ...

Good luck with that.

Sorry to be a smartass, but when did this happen? Did I sleep late one morning and miss all the austerity?

Lol.

The EU folks are going to pull this one out as their socialist hell holes devolve into anarchy over the next 2-3 years ...

"It wasn't all the gimme dat policies that caused this ... it was austerity"

The hotel I stayed at in Shanghai had 3 rolls Royce’s, a Ferrari, Bugatti, and a few Chinese hyper cars parked out front. All the Chinese inside wearing fancy arse designer clothing.

I’ve never felt more poor than those 2 nights.

It's probably the most common tactic on the left, pretending not to understand things. Thus making discourse impossible.

Very few, if any, posters know anything about Marx’s theories or his writing…

Wait, are you saying our govt has been participating in austerity?
I don't think it means what you think it means.
They want to raise more taxes and spend more which is actually deficit spending. This is 180° from austerity.

The govt, fed, treasury, and banks have helped create bubbles. Then when the economy craters, the govt bails the industry out and prints more money, picks winners and losers, and pumps more money into the economy creating further inflation and seemingly reduced wages because of the inflation.
The issues with the capitalist economy of the US in the involvement and central planning of our govt and Fed. It is not a pure capitalist economy.

Not at all, it’s more like 60-40 capitalism to socialism, or worse, and the usual crowd want to nitpick it as if capitalism is the culprit.

It's VOR, dude

He makes drive-by emotional and illogical posts, then bails when anything more than surface-level discussions are directed towards him.

I’m old enough to see several communist states collapse over night. The United States is still here.
