Price of doing business.

It's still a great service. I'll pay the $72. Now if it starts creeping closer to $80, then I'll reconsider.

I remember when cord-cutting was supposed to save money.

frick me. I'm paying for Netflix, YouTubeTV, and Disney+ currently. I don't think about it because I don't want to know how badly I'm getting screwed.

It was $35/month when I first got it, which was the entire point. I no longer have it because they continue to add useless channels and jack up prices.

Cord cutting was a great solution until every channel decided they needed their own standalone streaming service. I use an IPTV service now.

It was $35/mo when I first signed up. After the first price increase, I quit that shite.

Might as well pay for DirecTV or Dish

It was $35 when we signed up. It's more than doubled now. We just cut the cord for a different cable package at this point

Sorry baw, I cancelled my subscription after football season and I'm probably not the only one who does that.

Someone's gotta keep paying those bloated C-Suite bonuses at YouTube.

I don’t really watch it. I may pick it back up during football season.

But they did lower their 4k package price. Now only an additional $9.99/month!

If you didn't "cut the cord" you wouldn't have Netflix and Disney+ anyway? Before I cut the cord I still had Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Prime, etc... Maybe I'm weird though

When I'm comparing costs I compare what I paid Cox for cable/internet to what I pay LUS for internet and YouTubeTV for cable, I'm still about $50-$75 ahead of where I used to be.

thats not cutting the cord, its just using a different plug to plug into

my antenna is still 100% free all the time

sure i dont have the 200 channels you guys have with pay services, but you guys with 200 channels only watch 6 or 7 of those channels any way and other than espn, its the same channels i get for free

I paid $40 when I first started using it.

I may look into other services to price compare, but I've always loved YouTube TV's layout and ease of use.

I also typically pause my subscription after March Madness then reactivate it again once football starts.

Add up all of those.

Are you actually saving money compared to cable?

I remember I got it pretty early and it was really cheap. I was thinking it was way less than 3 years ago that they hiked the price big time (which made me drop it), but the last big event I remember watching on it was the LSU/Clemson CFPNC game in early 2020. So, unless they raised it anymore after spring of 2020, that's correct. And wild, because that seems like maybe a year or so ago.

frick, time flies when you get old.
