It is what it is. We switched in august from Cox to YouTubeTv. Our cable bill with internet was over $300. Called Cox to see if we could add some stuff we don’t watch. After an hour on the phone only thing they could offer was like a $25 saving lol. Went with YouTubeTV and internet still with Cox. Still under $200 spending.
We also have Disney,Amazon Prime ( w/Paramount+), ESPN+. We can afford that and have our choice of what we want to watch and not miss anything.
I would not be surprised in the future if every channel has their own streaming platform to subscribe to watch. If one wants to watch NBC and NBC owned networks, one would have to subscribe to Peacock+. Same thing for ABC/ESPN a person would have to subscribe to Disney+/Hulu+.

It's not the money, it's the repeated arse fricking whenever they feel like it.

The latest price hike is to help cover the cost of making reparations.

The ones cool with an 8 dollar upcharge are the ones ruining this economy. The same ones that are paying 60k for a base model full size truck with a 4 cylinder. Idiots.

Kinda hard to find an alternative since they’re all raising their prices

If they keep raising prices it will push more into piracy and the IPTV services.

I remember when cutting the cord saved money
I remember when I paid like $160+ a month for shitty DTV for four TVs and prehistoric “genies” in like 2016 and they dropped FOX during the first few games of the NFL playoffs so there’s that.

Bunch of tv addicts here
Yep.
I get HBOMax through a friend, but rarely use it. Watched TLOU show and it was meh. Only other thing I have is OTA antenna and YouTube. Canceled YT Premium because they want $25/mo to skip ads. frick that.
There isn't shite on TV worth what these companies want. Not even CFB is worth it. If it isn't OTA, I'll catch highlights on YT and save myself 4 hours.

Cox would go up 50+$ or more per month after your promotional year was up. I’d have to cancel Cox, resign up in wife name to get new promotion price… rinse/repeat and alternate account names every year, spend forever on the phone with customer service. That was the butt stuff… not 8$ per month
