If you do not think Chapter 7s of a large business matters, particularly if a few cascade into may, then you do not understand how the economy works. I can only assume you just got your advance refund from Jackson Hewitt, supersized your McDonald's meal and think you are doing just fine.

If a lawfirm that's been around 50 years has more than a few million worth of obligations that a Ch7 will affect, then nobody in the firm understood the economy either.

My accounting degree and MBA thank you for your observation though. I think we'll be OK with one less PI firm

This probably matters to someone, but for the life of me I can't think of who it would be

Added to this problem is that Social Security will be insolvent anywhere between 10-15 years, and you have a coming storm.

Social Security was supposed to be insolvent by 2030. Just like LA was supposed to be under water by then.

I don't support relying on daddy government to save you, and I plan like I won't have SS, but the likelyhood that it goes away entirely is low

I get you saying 10k is the amount that has to be reported regardless of suspicion… my point was a business or seller could basically deem any amount suspicious and file an 8300

Which was in response to my original post that said any business collecting over 10K HAS to report it. The word HAS does a lot of work toward implying that it is in fact a 10K threshold that requires reporting.
Checked my replies and had to straighten someone out. Thanks for noticing

Ain’t no threshold… Circle K can file a 8300 form if you spend 700$ and they deem it suspicious

Brush up on your reading skills
quote:

That’s an imaginary threshold… a business can/will report any amount that seems suspicious rather it’s 7k or 10k

It's not. It's the threshold where it has to be reported whether suspicious or not. Thanks for playing

Dumb move - Never, ever put over $10,000 down at a car dealership

Any business who collects over 10K in cash has to report it, not just car dealers. Dealers and banks are the most common though

the finale landed

Subjective. Lots of people didn't like it. Forget the "most watched" BS you keep spewing. People were going to finish out the series whether it was good or not. See: GOT

They aren't expecting as much as they are wishing, because the ending, and most of the final season, were a let down
