Would you rather live in NYC or LA?

It's always been NYC for me but I think it's going to get worse. I still choose NYC over LA, barely.

Whatever it is both places cut it in half

Damn -
LA weather is fantastic and you're closer to some unbelievable things to do outdoors. NYC has better food and more interesting international people/culture (besides the riff raff), although LA has great food too.
Both cities bend you over a tax barrel and make you bite a wooden spoon as they split you open.
I think I choose LA.

To live?
I love NYC way more than LA, but you can’t beat Southern California weather.

Was having his discussion with a co-worker today! Easily Los Angeles.

20s making good money, NYC
30s with kids, LA

I spend most of my time between both for work. They each have their own charm but also feel like hell on earth once you see past the shine.
As much as I’d like the excess real estate and great weather, probably NY if forced to choose and having to bring my family. Seems like there’s more diversity and opportunity for growth there.

L.A. The weather in L.A. year round is amazing. It’s much more spread out, but easy access to the beach is another plus. It’s nice when working in L.A. that the emails stop bombarding you around 3:30 or 4:00 if you typically work eastern or central time zone, too.

Los Angeles because of California, the Los Angeles area and the rest of California is plenty big enough to get away from the craziness of the world if that’s what you want.

LA. Love the environment, landscape, and weather. Spent a few weeks in a small town 1.5 hours north of LAX once and felt like you were in the middle of nowhere with beautiful mountain scapes. Basically the equivalent distance of Conroe to Houston.
I have zero desire to live in NYC. The upper east coast disgusts me as well as the trashy arse people. Bunch of scammers and alcoholics hanging out in bars for entertainment.

If money isn’t a factor, LA easily. Supermodels everywhere and the weather is perfect year round.
