Eff a 4cyl in the Land Cruiser...

Not only a 4cylinder, but a 4cylinder turbo hybrid only powertrain

Am I?

I must have missed that....

But since you mentioned it, those $100K trucks are 3/4-1-ton Diesels or very minimum large V8's that are designed to work as an adjunct for many professions in towing/construction, hauling things for a living.

This 4cylinder 4Runner is none of that...

The cabin certainly doesn't feel $60K-plus nice, and I'm not sold on the benefits of the hybrid system. The lineup's overlap with the also-new Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus GX550 further complicates matters. While there's a lot to like here, if I were in the market, I'd be very discerning with the order form. —Mike Sutton

Modern powertrains are resilient. It's rare in our testing to observe a thermal overload, but with Toyota's latest hybrid configurations that power the Sequoia, the Tacoma, and the Tundra, we've noticed the transmission temperatures flirting with the red zone. The same goes for the new 4Runner. After a handful of acceleration runs, the transmission heats up to the point that it upshifts earlier in the tach swing, and the thrust is dialed back. We don't hear a fan blowing in an attempt to cool the transmission fluid, and the temps are very slow to recover. All this while testing in mild ambient conditions has us wondering how this gearbox would stand up to abuse in the dunes or in sweltering heat. —David Beard

Can a dude drive a Honda CRV?

Absolutely, seems they are very popular in the Faubourg--Marigny area...
Is there anyone other than those in fast food making less than $200K a year?

Probably get more attention from coaches/colleges l lighting up the stats at a smaller school.

Lot of top recruited players have come from small schools.

AE quality has gone downhill the past several years.

this will be 99% of people outside of Porschephiles.

To each their own, but it's 911 only for me.

Learned the other day there are $50K Performance option Toyota Corollas.

I'm not knocking the Porsche as I'd take it over the Z06 if both options were available to me, but one of those costs twice as much as the other.

Z06 is trailer park trash
This new Generation (and some old) like to sh!t on true manual cars for these new automatics but glad some manufactures are still making them.

An amazing feat, but give me a slower air cooled non-stability controlled 911.
