Sort of a spinoff from the skyline thread.

TN is undoubtedly a better state than LA, but I feel like NOLA has more to offer as a city. Both cities have pretty similar demographic makeup and crime issues. Both are known for their cultural scene, music, and cuisine (NOLA more so than Memphis). Both have corruption at the highest levels that keeps getting reelected. COL is much higher in NOLA.

If given the choice, which would you choose? Having grown up in Memphis and been to NOLA more times than I can remember, I'd say it's a close call.

I agree with just about everything you say. I guess living closer to the Tennessee outdoors would be the deciding factor for me.

This is like choosing between eating shite with bits of corn or smooth.

With that in mind, I'd take New Orleans.

Figure out for yourself wether or not that's smooth or corny.

NOLA for sure.

Memphis is right down there with Montgomery as far as my opinion of southern cities go. Just horrible all around.

Definitely NOLA. Lived in both and Memphis only gets worse.

Memphis 100%. It wouldn't bug me at all if I never spent another minute in Nola.

Hell, Memphis' proximity to that is not even that great.

If downtown Memphis, then Nola. If in suburbia, Memphis. TN is way more beautiful
