Covid broke a lot of people mentally.

It really pushed the already polar further away from reality and harder into their in-group.

People like OP have constructed their own version of reality. In fairness everyone does this to some extent. Some people just take it to an extreme level where everything they believe is a figment of their imagination or something some other idiot told them to think.

It was indistinguishable from the flu in both symptoms and severity, so obviously not.

It evolved to become less serious. When the first novel virus spread, people were dying. I lost a great aunt who was in an a nursing home where several residents died, and an ex girlfriend’s mother was dead in less than two weeks. I had an engineer working for me on a project in the Felicianas and he spent a month or so in the hospital.

So no, when it first appeared it was not “indistinguishable from the flu.” That is revisionist history.

The first two times I had it I thought, "This is it? Wow a headache and sore throat and this has the world in a global panic. Well I have it again, this time it's making me cough like a mfer, however what makes this worse is, I contracted it in the hospital when I had open heart surgery last week.... Try coughing your lungs out with a split sternum and broken ribs. I'm not extremely old, (62) but my health is compromised, now i understand how this shite killed alot of elderly.

I never understand the point of these threads

A massive evil was committed against this country and its people. And now just a few years later we are being asked to forget about it and pretend it never happened. That’s what I don’t understand.

To me the flu is worse. But that said. Two people in my Facebook friends list died.
One of whom was a pretty healthy former Marine only in his 40s.
I was shocked by that. He also had posts calling it fake and then even he passed that did scare me into becoming a mud blood.
But I regret it because I had major health problems start not long after.

Yeah it put a lot of old people in the ground slightly before their time… and again this was happening a lot all around the world at the same time.

That's bullshite.

I'd never known of anyone personally, or friend of a friend situation where they died of the flu.

I knew two people that died of Covid and three more that were a friend of a friend that died. Only one of them was over 65.

I knew two people personally that got put on a ventalator and survived, and two or three more that almost went on a vent.

Anyone comparing it to the normal flu that we had experience up to that point was either living in a cave or is just a liar.

I’d probably get pretty curious when me and damn near everyone I know got really sick and stopped being able to taste food

Not to mention the people in my circle who died from it

Other than that, business as usual!

You conspiracy weirdos are exhausting

As someone who works in the ICU, yes.

Random ARDS, renal failure, and/or Multi-organ failure that couldn't be explained - at first a couple, then suddenly an entire ICU full? Yeah. trust me, we could tell.

Considering my coworkers who died, ended up on ventilators, etc, absolutely.

My brother was a COVID denier and my dad was a heart transplant recipient being treated for cancer. It was fricking exhausting and infuriating.

1. There is no vaccine.
2. It was deadly for those who were admitted to hospitals. Google it. When people were forced to not depend on their own body to fight it, it was game over.

Yes, I lost several friends and relative who were in good health. Mardi Gras 2020 was brutal, I knew 4 people who were on ventilators, 2 of them died. This wasn't the flu, we had a couple come to dinner, the next day they had it, 2 days later we had it, terrible symptoms for a week.

Closing the schools was the dumbest thing ever, the worst possible reaction. Many cases of kids being cared for by grandparent, because parents were working. The kids weren't vulnerable, the grandparent were.
