I imagine if you ran the numbers, the number of people who died from Covid19 who weren't elderly and had no co-morbidities, out-paced the total flu deaths from normal years.

Yes. I worked in a hospital. It was awful.
Coronavirus has been around for years and we had been testing for different varieties for years. I had no idea so many people were "molecular biologists" and would give their expert opinions on this particular variant.

You do realize China lost more with Covid than the US did, right? Covid did a number on China and they still haven't recovered.

Not at all.
In fact. Our patient zero (every hospital sorta had one) was a reasonably healthy guy in his late 30's. He spent weeks in our ICU.
There are folks on this board who would know, and what we can tell you is that ED's all over the country would see and admit one case of bilateral pneumonia after another. Many of them were intubated, placed on hi-flow oxygen, non-rebreathers, and bipap.
They were admitted to telemetry floors, stepdowns and ICU's. Some of them simply stayed in the ED for days and recovered there.
I like this website, but there's no denying it's filled with a bunch of fricking drool cups. The OP is one of them.

If you only knew young healthy people you may not have noticed much. But it absolutely ripped through the elderly and chronic illness populations. It wasn't unusual for a husband and wife to get it at the same time and die within a few days of each other. My dad's law office handled a lot of successions and they had several instances of that.

I never understand the point of these threads. To act like the disease didn’t cause a lot of unnecessary deaths and use it to do some bastardized version of whining about the election from 6 years ago is total loser incel behavior.
