Why do cruises always look so trashy?

I see people post pics on Facebook and it's always so damn trashy. From the glassy looking staircases to the photo backdrops that people pose in front of (with the date and cruise name printed at the bottom of the pic). It all looks so tacky and cheesy. And trashy as hell.

Most of the less expensive cruise lines are like a floating Walmart combined with an early 90’s Vegas casino.
It’s a cheap vacation so there are lots of poors there.
Poor people think Red Roof Inn is nice so it doesn’t take much to impress them.
Poor people also like to eat a lot.

The one cruise I went on was very trashy and said I'd never go on another.....
We just paid for a Disney cruise in May
. But I have a 3 year old now and have heard these are much different since the price is 5 times as much.

Never been on a cruise here but pretty worldly. I do live in a port city though and see some of the folks coming off these floating Walmart’s, I’m okay not going on one.
I would go on a Mediterranean cruise if I ever had a chance though.

For the same price you can do an upscale Mexican all inclusive adults only

You do realize that there are different cruise lines that cater to many different clientele?
Maybe just your Facebook friends are all trashy, but there are Viking River cruises, adventure cruises, and some higher end Caribbean cruises.
Check out Seabourn cruises. No trash there.
