Some of you guys are so pretentious.

Only thing i worry about with cruises, is getting some 3rd world virus and half the ship is throwing their brains up.
It only takes one shite head who's sick, to go to work and handle food, and then half the boat is ill.

I went on my first cruise this Fall and had a surprisingly good time. It's full of trashy people, but trashy runs in my blood so I can easily intermingle with them.

A guy was reading the paper and he saw an ad for a $99 dollar cruise and decided to check it out.
When he arrived, he spoke to the person at the desk and inquiried about the advertised cruise. The guy at the desk led him to a back room where it went suddenly dark.
When the unconscious man awoke, he was floating in the river tied to a log. After a few minutes of floating, he sees another man tied to a log and works his way towards his direction.
Hey, he asks," do they serve drinks on this cruise?"
Well said the other floater," they didn't last year!"

Funny how the usual suspects mainly knocking cruises have never been on one...

Lot of cruise fans downvoting.
I will never set foot on a cruise. Stuck on that boat with a bunch of trashy people and thrown with a bunch of annoying people at dinner.
The other funny part is people who go all the time always want to tell you what a great deal they’ve gotten. It’s cheap because it’s trashy and trashy people don’t have money.

You don't know what you're talking about cause you've never been on one. Ever occur to you? I used to think they sucked too, but even on "trashy cruises" I've basically had a good time.

The people who go on Carnival are really fat and poor it’s so gross. The only great cruises are on the Cunard (Queen Mary, etc) sailing on the Atlantic and in Europe. But I heard that they are LOUSY with Moslems lately
Celebrity and the cruises in the PAC Nw are way less trashy but still casual and not like the good old days.
Now that edibles are so easily attainable that would be an interesting twist to cruising at least. Just be sneaky high all the time.

I spent a week getting day-drunk and eating horrifying amounts of food.

Baw, there are tons of trashy people with money

It's funny cause most of the people calling cruises trashy (most are) probably vacation in gulf shores every year.

I left on one out of Miami last year and it was exponentially more trashy than any cruise I'd ever been on.
It will be a long time before I go on another one.

Nothing like your regular carnival cruise. Disney cruises are for the families tired of the trash at Disney world

Couldn’t tell you the last time I set foot in Gulf Shores. But honestly between that and a cruise, I’d choose GS.
At least after a day of being there and wanting to leave, I’d be able to leave.

There are tons of cruise lines (regent, crystal, silver seas etc) that are far from trashy at any given embarkation port and cost $4-8k for 7-10 days.
It's a big world out there OP. Most products have various levels of amenities that attract different types of customers
