I work 4-10s and it's a life changer. I can actually enjoy that middle day off without worrying about not getting too tired to work the next day.
Also it's nice avoiding 1 day of traffic too.

Since the rapid advancement in tech has occurred there is an inverse correlation to productivity even though efficiency has risen dramatically.

Tasks that used to take 4-5 hours (not that long ago either 80s-90s) now take 15 minutes or less.

Yet the scale of demand has not risen that drastically, so more and more people find their days occupied by mindless dead time at work even though they accomplish a relatively large amount of work in a shorter time span. The truly advancing companies today are going to flex schedules (get your work done, and be available for calls/emails/or to come in within reason and don't worry about being at the office a set amount of hours)

What do you do?

Just curious, your philosophy and mine are very similar

Yup. This is the type of position I'll be looking for once I'm done working where I currently am.

In my line of work I have zero reason to actually be in an office. I can do everything remotely.

Hell I ripped out a rather nasty RAT and all its persistence mechanisms on one of our attorney's laptops from my hotel room in the Dominican Republic a couple years ago

If everyone worked only the weekend the economy wouldn't do too well. Businesses need to operate a majority of the time to make money. They could hire more people to work 2-3 days out of the week but you'd get paid less or things would be more expensive, either way a net negative.

That sounds pretty damn great.

I feel badly for you people who have jobs like yours.
I hope to do what I do until the day I die.
I know that's a concept that is incomprehensible to the vast majority and that is a shame and one of the biggest failures of our society. People are trained to hate work from day one and that the singular goal in life is to retire.
What a miserable existence.
