Just seems silly. Most people have a basic printer. It's not like they are even expensive now(you can easily find them for like $50).

I think he's mostly talking about salaried jobs here my man

the point stands though, if a 2 day work week was standard you're gonna have a lot more expenses with basically 5 "saturdays" in a row. I mean you wouldn't be making the same salary you do not by working half as much as now lol

is it supposed to be ironic that a bunch of people are complaining about wasting their life away working while most likely posting here while they are supposed to be working?

Yea, but most of us are doing this because we're working right now. When I'm not working, I'm not posting near as often on TD. I wish I could be doing something productive, but I'm a slave to my computer during work hours.

Lolz.

Schools open twice per week - maybe you'll finish college by age 40

Hospitals open twice per week - I hope you don't get sick on Monday.

Businesses need to be open most days of the week. Also, so long as grit and effort and diligence are rewarded this will never occur. You wanna work two days? Fine. I'll work four. You're fired.

We aren't sticking to a five day workweek because there are a bunch of old men in a room with steepled fingers. It's because life as you know it would come to a screeching halt if everyone were at the bars 5 days per week (which they couldn't be because the bars would be closed ).

Work a seasonal job or one with fewer than 40 hours.

People stuck in the rat race are there because it's a lifestyle they have chosen.

I'm not going to argue that, the two day work week is actually pretty impractical. I wouldn't see anything wrong with a four day, 30ish hour work week though.

Lolz. You're right. Hospitals are closed on the weekend now. Oh wait, no they aren't because they stagger shifts. Hospitals were the wrong example to use

I'd rather use my firm's printer instead of paying for ink myself.

Too many folks are brainwashed by the current system and have to pick and choose impractical examples to convince themselves they aren't miserable.

What's the current system?

No one is required to do anything.

Hospitals are a bad example. The non-doctors that work at hospitals generally work three 12-hour shifts every week from the people I know.

Uh, no it's not. Call your family doctor and asked to be seen on Saturday. I used "hospitals" as a general term. It's a skeleton crew on weekends. There aren't enough doctors in the world to cover that dumbass workweek. You think it's difficult to see a physician NOW?

This entire thread is rooted in the idea that "I" get to travel the world 5 days per week, but the rest of the world goes on as usual.

Nothing of substance was ever created by a person who sat by the pool 5 days per week, except maybe the Snuggy.
