AI cant give a firm hand shake and bring brisket to their job interview

I've been engaged on two jobs this week where the clients sent me their attempt to summarize what they've hired me to do with AI. Both attempts were absolute garbage, and one client admitted it in our discussions. This came on the heels of a new client hiring me to clean up a job that another individual butchered with AI. For the time being, the poor application of AI is increasing my work load.

For a period of time, in many fields, AI will reflect the level of intelligence of the user. No idea on how things will play out in the long run.

It's a tool that when used smartly will increase your productivity. That said it's only as smart as the person using it. It does in 1 hour what would take an assistant 6 and the output is likely to have fewer errors.

Its going to take a few jobs...maybe one day rake over industries but its not there yet. It still needs a LOT of human guidance to perform well. Had to take a whole seminar on prompt writing to get the most out of it buisness wise.

That said, its progressed CRAZY fast. It was maybe a year ago AI couldnt figure out hands, now people are getting fooled by AI videos.

I have found it to be incredibly useful and have personally used it to help with 2 separate electronic projects that I have bounced around a couple of years which would both be viable consumer products if someone took them that direction. Chat whatever the frick its called aided me in hashing out the details down to a list of components and coding in about 2 hours where I have been thinking about and planning and designing off and of for 2 years. It certainly isn't garbage and will created jobs like all other new technology. I love it.

I also use it almost daily to research codes and industry standards instead of googling or actually flipping through the paper publications to reference the excerpts when notifying clients of deficiencies and providing initial plans to address those deficiencies. It is significantly more efficient than simply using google and substantially more efficient than thumbing through the paper versions.
