AI is pretty incredible when it comes to legal work. People who are AI haters have to be the same people who hated on cars when they first come out.

Not nearly as worried about AI taking jobs as giving even more power to a bunch of tech billionaires who seem to think nothing would be wrong with a totalitarian society as long as Godlike geniuses such as themselves are in charge.

The spread of AI as money saving measures is almost entirely propagated by senior leadership who sell and don’t actually have technical skills.
Please. Replace everyone with AI. Your business will die.
AI told me that my sisters German shepherd was a border collie.
It needs to get waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy better. Like it needs to be about 10x as good as it is right now for anyone to be confident in it as a subject matter expert.

Psychologically change is the foundational driver of anxiety in people according to most people considered experts in such things. As a species change is very stressful and can be crippling....lose a job when the rent is due and a baby on the way and most people will curl up in a fetal position for a short period of time. AI is a, I believe, going to be a fundamental change in the way humans work, interact, create and live....and its going to be very stressful for most of us...some will not adapt and will "perish" after a fashion...they won't die but they will not flourish like they might otherwise. Most will deny the change, rage against it, fear it and slowly accept and adapt. Then there are those who will immediately embrace the change, become an expert in what it means and what it can and can't do. Some of those will be complete morons and their acceptance of change will have little to no impact on their life....a small number of them will not be morons and will make a fortune and change everyone's lives, mostly for the better. There is a place for all of these people in the process....it is easy to look back today and laugh at people who truly believed the earth was flat...hell there are still people who do so....but when it was generally considered a fact to suggest otherwise probably meant being killed. Skepticism is akin to a braking system....some folks will always be the brakes, most of us will initially be the brakes and some folks will be the thing that replaces the brakes....

if you are a hobby mechanic, ask it how to do a specific task
include make model, etc and ask it how to change a water pump
(use something you know)
generic steps it will give, but not useful for details
often it doesn't even get the car make/model correct

I'm confused. If it's able to take someone's job then it's not worthless. That would mean it actually has value.
