We talking two pick sixes and a strip sack here.

Kane does it again.

Pretty much every change over the last decade is correlated to teams trying to beat/be Alabama.

Seems like that pic is from last year.

The stress has helped CKD drop a few pounds.

Luckily the hair was already falling out.

Ugh his salary went from $3M to $7.5M

Real idiot Florida got there.

A team that goes 5-7 has no business being bowl eligible anyways

If these opt out trends continue, they’re going to be asking some 4-8 teams

While it’s always frick ND, I don’t fully disagree with them opting out of a bowl because of this

Appears that this is going to be the new fad. Nobody wants to play in these things now.

It was simply to include an ACC team. The “we can only use H2H when they are side to side” was such bs. It was just to get an ACC team in.

I think the committee screwed up by having ND so high to begin with.

Pretty sure the rant agreed during the season when they were like 4-2 and ranked in the top 10.

They should have never been in front of Miami in the first place.

Miami jumps ND while both IDLE

The rant:

BAMA CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!

Tards
But last year we should have gotten in after SMU, with 0 ranked wins, lost their conference championship and didn’t fall out of the playoffs, amirite?
Do these bowl games at the beginning of the year to fulfill whatever contract obligations there may be.

Make a rematch of the NC game the first game of the year in the Rose Bowl.

Put previous playoff teams in the Sugar, Fiesta, Peach, Cotton, and Orange Bowls.

Figure the rest out from there.

Make it almost like a preseason game that cannot hurt your season if you lose.

That saves premier matchups like OSU vs Texas this year without penalizing Texas for losing.
I really hope we’re working on packages for Mack over the next couple of weeks.

Unless Ty gets healthy and goes on a run like he did after the FSU loss, we won’t be making it out of Norman alive.
In my simulated 24 team playoff, they would have played Michigan yesterday to get to the field of 16.

This is bad take. It was a bad take to expand it to 12.

I’m perfectly ok taking it back to 2 teams and enjoying a bowl season. Just saying if we have to go with an expanded playoff, this would be an option.
They aren’t getting rid of conference championships because of money.

Top 2 from each P4 conference get into playoffs, conference champs get a bye.

I agree with this though. And the top 2 teams of each P4 conference should be based off CFP ranking — not conference w/l record. It would be different if every team played everybody, but no team has the same conference schedule.

Let the top two teams from each conference play in a championship game, with the understanding that your final CFP playoff ranking is based off the regular season.

Winning or losing a conference championship game is not going to move you up or down — effectively, these teams can play their 2s and 3s in this game and give their starters are break if they so choose.

Meanwhile 16 other teams are playing play-in games yesterday, not getting rewarded with a bye.

Expand the playoffs to 24 teams and the top two teams in each P4 conference get first round byes.

Example: yesterday UGA would have been playing Ole Miss in an essentially meaningless (but still profitable SEC Championship.

Alabama would have been playing #21 Houston yesterday in the first round.

UVA would have been playing Miami in the ACC game.

#10 ND and #20 Tulane would have been playing their first round game yesterday.
BYU was 11th this time yesterday

They were not in over JMU or Tulane

Alabama was also down 2 scores with the ball and 7:30 on the clock

WTF are we talking about?

BYU disagrees

BYU wasn’t even in the playoffs before their conference game

They were 11

Tulane and JMU would have jumped them if BYU was idle yesterday.

How come both QBs were (at one point in their seasons) projected first round picks and Heisman finalists…. And then totally tank.

Why the QB regression two years in a row?
Reminder this team beat GA Tech 16-9 last week
