Actually it isn't obviously a day they don't deliver. They started delivering packages on Sunday a few years ago.

The mailman never knocked. She had already had that card filled out and put it in. I had suspected this before.

They pull this move if it’s 4:45 and they want to get home faster.

Dude...my postal carrier is delivering packages for Amazon on Sundays in my neighborhood. She doesn't get to my house until around 5:30 or 6:00 because her route has gotten so big due to growth in the area. It isn't a sustainable model...if it wasn't run by the government, it would have long since been gone.

One of the joys of living in rural/small town USA. You know, very well, your mail carrier. You run into them everywhere you/they go. They live nearby in a lot of cases. If for no other reason than that, they don't pull crap or try to get outta doing their job.

My mail carrier is the same woman since 2001 when I moved in here. Can almost set a clock by her. Yesterday my new SSD for other PC was delivered as expected.

The USPS is the reason pdf files, FedEx and UPS exist.

The USPS is a government agency, that’s what’s wrong with it.

The government can’t even get delivering the mail right, yet we want them to take over healthcare.

People in low income fields dont have pride in their work anymore. Its just about finishing as fast as possible, with the least amount of effort, to get that paycheck

Plenty of mail carriers make $70-80k a year. I wouldn’t exactly call that low income. How much you make boss?

Yesterday I went to the post office on college and bennington to mail a large envelope. The wait wasn't too bad and the line moved pretty quickly.

The lady at the counter was very nice, apologized for might wait (there wasn't much of a wait?), and thanked me and asked if there was anything else she could do to help me today.

I really thought I was in bizarro world as I had never had that sort of experience at the post office. Someone must be cracking some heads at this branch.

I own an apparel company and spend $30k+ a year with the USPS. I ship worldwide. They've never lost a package in the seven years of use. They are always consistent and traceable to the door. Keep in mind that all expected delivery dates are estimated. With that said, they're on time delivery rates with my packages are at or near 99%. I ship approximately 7000 packages a year. I have no complaints with the USPS.
