Kentucky pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the weekend Saturday night, taking down No. 10 LSU, 35-34, in a thrilling overtime finish at Kroger Field in Lexington.

The Wildcats trailed 27-24 late in the fourth quarter before kicker Adam Zouagui connected on a 33-yard field goal in the closing seconds to send the game into overtime.

LSU struck first in the extra period with a 15-yard touchdown run from quarterback Sam Leavitt, but Kentucky answered with a one-yard touchdown run from CJ Baxter.

Instead of kicking the extra point to extend the game, Kentucky head coach Will Stein elected to go for the win. Quarterback Kenny Minchey delivered, scoring on a quarterback draw for the game-winning two-point conversion.

Minchey finished with 246 passing yards, while Baxter rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

It marked the second consecutive week Kentucky won 35-34 in overtime on a successful two-point conversion after defeating South Carolina by the same score last Saturday.

The Wildcats have now won four straight games, improving to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in SEC play under first-year head coach Will Stein.

LSU dropped to 4-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play with the loss.
