It’s a nice school. I visited that campus two years ago expecting it to be everything LSU fans have been saying it is… cowtown, ugly, backward, etc… I was completely wrong.
That campus is nice. Their library is a presidential library - Grant’s library. Their people were also super friendly. I would be happy to go to school or work there.

One thing I know about Henry Jones on here: You ain’t gone talk no shite about Ole Miss.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I don't think anyone ever got into Mississippi State with a 14 ACT. You need at least a 17 and a very nice letter from Jackie Sherrill.

I’m fine with talking shite as long as it’s accurate information. I’m just trying to educate, man

Actually dickhead I went to school you couldn’t even contemplating going to for undergrad. And if you paid any attention instead of just bumping your gums you’d understand I was very complimentary of State considering I put two kids through there. So go to bed pops, your hangover is going be painful tomorrow.

Exactly. State required an 18 minimum score , I believe,in 1980. Rebels(rip) were at 14.

I'm bias, but after attending several schools with my boys, State was up there in leadership & how it's managed. Keenum is top notch. And I'm speaking purely academics.
It was quite a surprise from my time there in the mid 90s.

A smaller, completely less homoerotic version of Texas A&M. A redneck version of Ole Miss but students are less concerned about faking importance than their former high school classmates attending Ole Miss.

State is my undergrad Alma mater. I’m very proud of that. Ole piss is a shite stain of a school generally populated by shitasses .
Assuming you went to Citadel, congratulations. You did good sending kids to State.

I graduated with a masters in hard science (microbiology and chemistry, then microbiology and biochemistry). Worked in Drug industry 40+ years. Ended career as VP of a Drug company. MSU engineers pull as much money as anyone. You probably know 6 months after getting hired, everything for advancement for the rest of your career depends on many factors, but very little on where you got your degree.
One of our sons graduated from MSU and the other from USM. They both have essentially the same IT jobs now, making very close to the same money. Both of them pretty much equal to what other school's graduates make.

This is good to hear. Starkville has made huge strides in the last decade plus and our campus has always been very nice. We are an ag school after all keep that shite looking good.
The responses to this thread surprised me (in a good way) but I’m proud to hear some positive comments from non state people. We are proud of our university and we’ve come a long way in the couple decades.

Do you fancy yourself a mind reader?
There was no agenda or pre-conceived notions on my part when I started this thread.
It looks to me like the opinions of MSU are quite favorable.

My kid is interested in biomedical engineering, and it has one of the better programs we've found.
