This right here. A variant of this is when someone asks you to do something not understanding how long it takes to do it, as though it’s a “quick favor.”

No. We won’t be able to finish pouring a driveway for you in time for the game.
I remember telling my kids I need fewer people reporting to me that the trash can is full and more people actually taking out the trash when they see it’s full.

Same thing applies here. You are Congress. You have incredible power. Don’t pretend you’re powerless to fix this.

The Feds could have funded every single Louisiana coastal restoration project with the money they sent to Ukraine… nearly four times over.

That’s how little the federal government cares about us. They will wring their hands about how they can’t afford a single project in Louisiana, but literally pour money into a conflict half a world away that has nothing to do with us. We fund death enthusiastically while laughing at projects to preserve and improve life. It’s sick.

I gave up on it a few episodes into season three because I found it repetitive.

I’m good with that decision.
Football has a 100 percent injury rate. But guess what? So does hockey. 82 games in an NHL season. Plus playoffs. You’re going to get hurt.

The best decision I ever made as a sports fan was to triple my hockey watching and half my NFL watching. I don’t even bother with the NBA.

Just pick a team. Try it for a week. Just be into it for one week. You’ll come back for more.
Probably not. But I will say this… I had more fun watching them this week than any prior week of the season.

I don’t mind pulling for a young team that’s not so good. But I absolutely hate pulling for an old team that’s not so good.
I’m 22 minutes in. I don’t understand why so much is happening offscreen.

This is Mission Impossible. We are not supposed to have action scenes in digest form.
Why is Spanish Town so reluctant to reduce the amount it sends to charity in order to cover its own security costs?

Maybe we should investigate the connections of Spanish Town leadership to these charities. There might be no connection at all. But we should make sure.
One of my favorite parts of this show is when Wendell offers Emmet a job mending a fence… so they can split 50 cents.

I mean, things are tough on the River, and Wendell is hooking his friend up with a paying job. Wendell is a baw.

re: Is LSU now the "villain?"

Perfectly fine with being the villain to everyone else.

LSU shouldn’t care at all what the other teams and other fans think of us. In fact, we will win even more fans being the villain that wins championships.
Total BS. Such a hypocrite, too. There’s not a broadcaster alive who would not make the jump to a bigger market the instant they got an offer. Old loyalties be damned.

But more importantly… no one ever sees it from LSU’s point of view. Just what the frick are we supposed to do? We are on a timeline, too. And we are going to push to get what we want. Because surprise… surprise… Ole Miss and their priorities DO NOT MATTER to us. I missed the part where we were only supposed to interview people who whose seasons were 100% complete and their employers were okay with it.
I’m not really in favor of bringing O back because I don’t think he will be a good influence on a “reformed” Lane Kiffin. I think he could potentially re-introduce bad habits.
It’s because the Bama folks always have to steer the conversation back to them, regardless of topic in college football.

Here we have something happening at LSU and Ole Miss that doesn’t involve them at all… and what do they want you to think?

But… what about Bama?

The more you see it and recognize it… the less it will affect you when it inevitably occurs.
Take Apollo Creed’s advice:

You can’t live today to the fullest if you’re afraid of tomorrow. Eye of the Tiger, baby. LSU vs. the World.
Finer words have never been spoken. This is not the place for the weak or the anxious. Enjoy the stress.
Great. So yet another project de-mythifying myth. Awesome. Real life is so cool, man.

One of these days we will get someone who will champion myth and not hold back.

Someday…
Competitors are attracted to high standards and the possibility of high rewards.

You get both at LSU.

That doesn’t mean he will be the next coach, but high standards work in LSU’s favor… not against it.
It’s so condescending to suggest that the American public can’t handle information. As if knowing the truth is too dangerous for our own good.

Give me a break. I’m more than half a century old. You think you can shock me by revealing anything about anybody?

But even more than that… apparently it’s okay for SOME people to know the whole truth. But not everyone. Not you and me.
This is what makes the Coaching Changes board so great, though. Embrace the drama and the emotional rollercoaster. You can’t do anything to control the outcome… just appreciate the ride for what it is.

Mannnn… the Kraken stole one from the Blues.

Chandler Stephenson scores with .5 seconds left in the game to send it into overtime for the Kraken.

4 on 4… the Kraken control the puck for about 2:30 or so… the Blues never touch the puck. Shane Wright scores. Kraken win 4-3. Wow.
