Rachael Harris. Comedic actress best known for the Hangover, but you’ve seen her everywhere.

This shite cannot be being made by anyone that cares for Star Trek.

I’m also disappointed by the many Star Trek fans in online forums and social media who actually LIKED this episode.

If I wasn’t convinced that there was a subset of people who are entertained by virtually anything, I am now. Who are the people who like this episode? I went looking for them and actually found them.

Morons.
I’ve been watching Star Trek since the 1970’s. This is hands-down the single worst episode of Star Trek I have ever seen.

Don’t even watch it for camp value. It’s not worth your time, regardless of intent.

This is a show whose priorities are all wrong right now. I don’t know what audience they are trying to please. Who are the people who like shite like this?
It’s just as fun if you try to find the grossest thing possible.
People forget, too… that LSU eased up on several teams, sparing them a worse beating.

As evidence, witness what we did to Oklahoma in the playoffs. It is no stretch of the imagination that if LSU chose to score 100 points in that game, they could have.

I have never seen such a destruction of a top tier team as that one. That loss should have been a program-breaker.
She is a descendant of Khan Noonien Singh, THE Khan of Star Trek II: the Wrath of Khan.

The creator of Data is Dr. Noonien Soong.

This is a needlessly similar name, and I really have no idea why they did that.

You should not underestimate the enthusiasm stupid people have to vote for people just like them.

You never give people like AOC and Mamdani and Ilhan Omar an inch. Not one inch.

Because you don’t want them to even have the slightest shot at the highest office in the land. AOC gets stronger as a political adversary every day. Recognizing that doesn’t make you weak or undedicated to the GOP side. You have to understand what you’re up against to fight it.
Episode 4 is out. I watched it last night. I was a little worried about this one because of the black and white theme of the episode, and SNW’s affinity for gimmickry… but I thought it was a good episode overall.

It was shot well. It looked good in B&W.

A few hiccups in the story I didn’t really buy… but the secondary story was also interesting. La’An has discovered there’s more background activity going on under her nose on the Enterprise than she thought.
I learned so much from him. He is the GOAT of college baseball coaches. Completely transformed college baseball as we know it. Not just for LSU, but for everyone.
“Does it mean they can’t display his Heisman in the trophy case with his name on it?”

NO

“Does it mean they can no longer use his highlights in any LSU promo videos?”

NO

“Does it mean they have to take down any and all evidence that he even attended LSU?”

NO

“Is this what he really wants? Does he want his entire LSU footprint erased?”

Someone should ask him to clarify.

But there is a difference between historical Jayden Daniels and Jayden Daniels the current person. He doesn’t have the control of his historical NIL that he thinks he does. If LSU wants to out a JD highlight reel on the Jumbotron… JD can’t stop them.

If LSU wants to sell jerseys with his name on it… that’s a different thing.
If JD wants to play hardball, fine. Produce the contract that states that LSU agreed to never award the number to another player.

If one exists, then fine. You win, JD.

Otherwise, he can take his demand and choke on it.
This story defies believability. Then I remembered it’s college sports in the 2020’s. It sucks so bad now.

As for JD, if he thinks he can control what LSU can do with his historical likeness, he’s got another thing coming. LSU can use it all they like, and I look forward to the court battle over it when he challenges an image of him at the football ops center or a highlight reel of him on the Jumbotron. Which he will.

Marketing image is a whole different thing.

Total unforced error on JD’s part here.

You want to be a bitch? Cool. We’ll remove what little legacy you do have and act like you never even played here.

It’s been done before. Rather effectively, actually… with another #5.
I liked the episode. Great job with the battle scene. I like that no one got what they wanted out of Tumbleton.

It’s satisfying to see Rhaenyra go off the deep end.

Will miss Heleana, though. I liked Phia Saban’s take on her. Captured her oddness very well.

I actually like Scottie on the show, but not Ortegas. I keep wondering why she gets the screen time she does. Really not a great character.

This episode was a waste of time. I get that original Star Trek had its share of goofiness, but that was with seasons of more than 20 episodes. SNW has less than 20 episodes left in its run. So we have this and the Muppet episode this season to cringe our way through while the clock is ticking…

I struggle to find one thing good about this episode. It might be the worst in the whole run. Might.

you could win every single game just because Drew was your QB.

This is how you know a QB is truly great. I remember so many times as a Saints fan feeling like the game was lost. Decades of losing a lead with two minutes left and knowing we just could not come back to win.

That ended with Drew Brees. As long as he was in the field and we were down by one score… we could… and likely would… win.

Outside shot they bring back Anya Taylor-Joy for Magik

I would love this. Magik is one of my favorite characters.
quote:

Episode started off REAL slow. Am I the only one who's getting tired of Rhaenyra's constant whining? Every episode feels like another round of second-guessing, complaining about her council, or lamenting how unfair everything is.

I’ve been saying it for years. Rhaenyra sucks. Bad.

I don’t know what half the GoT fan base sees in her other than Dr. Who is her bedmate.
Just as important is when you work with old, rare books, especially with foreign language books, you need a human to handle idiosyncrasies and outliers in print method, font style, dialect, dated language, slang, and context that machines will never be able to account for (accurately) alone.

There is no scanning, learning, and burning an 18th century treatise, for example. Even in your home language, you can’t take what you see exactly at face value. It’s been my experience that a machine can’t even tell the difference between an F and a S on an old document due to the font similarity. That alone will roadblock the text recognition process.

Jesus is God.

Does anyone believe God could not make himself look however He wants to look to anyone at anytime?

How He looks or looked on earth is irrelevant. Only idiots believe that anyone’s faith would be shaken by that.
I returned a couple of items there and the person behind the desk was unfriendly and kind of rude.

What ticked me off to begin with was that Amazon sent me the wrong item. I wasn’t returning anything of my own accord. They wouldn’t send me the right item unless I sent the wrong item back. And I had to deal with this ray of sunshine at the service desk.
