I worked at a local lumber yard loading the trucks with a forklift for the next days deliveries at 16.
I loved it. I was often the only one there because the yard closed at 5 and I wouldn't get there till 5 due to school or practice.
I'd put music on the speakers and have a great time.

High school, how about grade school at 12, worked on tobacco farm harvesting the crop. Did that for 6 summers and paid for cawlidge before I stepped on campus. Crazy money back in the day

local grocery store right across from my high school. i was the bagger and buggy chaser. they paid me cash money and i remember feeling like i was ballin with that first $300 check. worked 3:30-7 every day and weekends. started my sophomore year until graduating. i didn't even have a checking account, just kept it all under my mattress.

Worked for my dad's printing company at 12 and 13 during the summers. Usually ran the stitching and collating machine.

I worked at my small town movie theater. Projectionist, concessions, open/ close. Loved that job!

Maintenance Dept of the local hospital. Started off cutting grass, running the weed eater, emptying outside trash cans, etc. Graduated to changing light bulbs and other odd jobs. Ended up working with the older guys on a variety of projects from plumbing, electricity, boiler blowdown, etc. It was a great job because I learned how to do so many things that helped my later in life.
