We were supposed to fly out tomorrow. As of now flights still showing good to go, but wife and I aren’t messing around with that. Trying to cancel resort…anyone have any luck or advice for how to extract a cancellation for situations like this? They’ve already taken ~33% of the total booking price.
You should go. Tell the resort to give you a 50% discount and comp all your meals and drinks. You’ll probably have the resort all to yourself.

At least I know what supply and demand is tho

Mexico is dangerous as frick.
People are changing their plans in light of the recent attacks.
Demand for hotel rooms plummets.
Hotels lower rates to bring in business.
What am I missing? Do the laws of supply and demand not work south of the border?

Hotels on south padre island are already raising rates. Mexico not safe.
Wouldn’t they by lowering rates?

4d chess. We aren't going to be vulnerable with soft targets in the mid-east afterwards. Since we dictate the timeline, we can make sure we have eyes on potential counter-threats and counter-targets. We are Swiss clockmakers. All of the wheels and cogs will be fully operational so we don't have embarrassments.
Man what are you even talking about? If we just wanted to blow up some bunkers and kill some IRCG dudes then sure. But this is about regime change and that means we have to have to Iranian population ready to overthrow and take over after take the head off the snake.
Man, you really like forums.

Exactly. They will all be dead without some kind of help from the outside world.
We need to act soon. Not out of some grand humanitarian gesture to save the downtrodden but rather to use these protestors to help us meet our goal of regime change.

We need to park some Marines and SEALs off the coast of Mexico and conduct nightly raids on the cartels.

Hookstead isn't really some rando on X. Not sure why people are saying that.
Rando or not, Delta didn’t kill this guy. Although it’s highly likely that the FBI/CIA/DEA helped develop the intelligence and the our military helped with the planning.
re: It appears Delta Force took out a major cartel kingpin - fake news - only provided intel

Why do you think it was Delta? Because some rando on X said so?
The simplest answer is normally the correct one. Mexican army/police killed him

There are none of these actually made. ALL ballistic missiles achieve hypersonic speed thanks to gravity
True, but these are not traditional ballistic missiles. They can skip off the upper atmosphere at hypersonic speeds and some(limited) ability to maneuver as opposed to just going up into space and then back down on a predictable trajectory. So while they’re not a true hypersonic missile that acts like a super fast cruise missile, it’s not just something they lob up into space and have it fall back down really fast.

Looks like the cartels are retaliating all over Mexico. I guess when we’re done with Iran we’ll have to take care of those guys.

SOF is already on the ground for weeks.
Eh, maybe. But what would they even be doing up to now?
quote:We’ll see. I think there will be. Not Iraq level but probably some.
There will be no conventional boots. Rangers, maybe, if absolutely needed to secure an area.
Air strikes till the Iranian air defense network is completely taken out.
Then kill/capture of high ranking IRGC and regime members by the ninjas in Delta or ST6.
Followed by SF troops embedding with the remaining Iranian army/police forces to make sure we have favorable governance/leadership in place across the country. These SF troops will be backed up by Rangers/paratroopers/Marines.
Not a full on Iraq style invasion but significant boots on the ground.
This will take weeks, possibly more, to play out.

I predict there will be a significant amount of SOF operations and a limited number of conventional boots on the ground before it’s all said and done.
