Not the worst but one of my favorites: Guy listed his last job as a "folk lift driver"

A guy i know from my hometown applied at canes when i was working there (1999). He put me as a reference, under felonies he wrote “position of mehihana with intent to tribute”. My boss showed me, i said don’t hire that dude.

A company I worked for 15 years ago, was hiring an HR/Safety Administrator for a new plant they were building. This position would, among other things, be over the drug-free workplace program. They had to rescind an offer after the applicant (straight out of grad school) failed the drug test...

I saw a resume once where the guy put down his high score on Galaga. The guy I was working with called him for an interview, just to see what kind of person thinks of something like that.

After we recieve applications/resumes, we always send follow-up questions to any potential applicants to help further reduce the number of people we interview. We asked to explain why he left a job (the employer is a top 10 customer).

My boss always gave me a hard time becasue he didn't like me. So one day he told me to suck his c*** in front of the entire office. I looked him dead in the eyes, then dropped to my knees an grabbed his pants like I was going to do it. I then punched him in his c*** and walked off.

A co-worker listed fake awards that sounded pretty good

I saw one where they misspelled their own name.

I went to take a physical at an industrial medicine facility for a new job I'd been offered. The job involved visiting job sites in industrial settings, including refineries and chemical plants, so it was a thorough physical. Hearing tests, lung function, drug tests and a variety of other things, including a Breathalyzer. I laughed when they got to it and I asked if they were joking. Nope, gotta blow. I then asked if they had a lot of guys showing up drunk for a pre-employment physical at 2:00 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. The Med tech said, "No, but apparently your company does." I thought that was pretty funny.

On our old applications it would ask “state job description”. The applicant wrote “Louisiana dishwasher”.

With industrial contract workers you'd be surprised how often this actually happens.

I have one I've saved for 20 years. The application had a space to list special skills or qualities. They wrote:
"I no payroll. I have great communication skills."

Does anyone else get applications from current employees at Angola for jobs that are wholly unrelated?
No sir, I am sorry but your current job as Behavioral Interdiction Specialist does not qualify you as a Business Applications Developer...
How bad must it be to work there that employees are spamming the internet with resumes?

Not a blunder, but I thought it was hilarious. While I was an intern, my boss came in holding the resume of an applicant for another intern position. He says "Man, I just don't think I can justify keeping you over this guy" then shows me the second page (yes a 2 page resume) which included a scatter plot of his GPA over the years. He explained how he struggled his freshman year and gradually increased his GPA and planned to continue the same pace of improvement. After tracing the slope of the line my boss figured his GPA would be a 4.6 by the time he graduated.

Not so much a blunder but we had a woman send in her resume, but it was printed on a cake.
Yes- went to a bakery- had them print the damn resume on a cake.
Cake was delicious, don't think we interviewed her.
Also- most memorable applicant email address- lilCajunSwoleDaddy69@hotmail.com

Once saw one where for "sex", the guy wrote "not with little boys or anything like that."

Same thing I saw at a previous job. My manager called me in to show me the misspelling (since I went to the same high school) and he asked me if we were all that stupid....
Guy also put he quit his last job because as a cook the kitchen was to hot.....

About 10 years ago, I had a woman wearing this same shirt stop in my bank and ask for an application for an open teller position--- I kid you not.
We are still married to this day....

Was he applying to be the new spokesman of Subway? If so, that's an appropriate response
