re: Is there anything worthwhile to do in Opelousas? - Jj283
Crawfish house was pretty meh the other night, but it wasn’t terrible. I’m pretty sure they don’t boil in seasoned water and just dump it on the crawfish instead. Evangeline Downs is alright, really wish they had tables. Never heard of these fried chicken places, will go check them out w...

re: Water line from fridge does not reach water outlet behind - Jj283
All it is it 1/4” tubing. You can get at Lowe’s in either copper or nylon- usually sell it by the foot. You can also buy the needed compression nuts/fittings while you are there. It should be right around the tubing. You’ll need the tubing, something to cut it with a 1/2” or crescent wre...

re: Best place to sell “fancy” household items - Jj283
Here's one site that buys China and silver. There are others. People are always looking to replace stuff that gets lost or broken. LINK
This is awesome. I’m going to check with these people for sure. ...

re: Best place to sell “fancy” household items - Jj283
Yes. It is. The woman just bought a lot of shite because she could. I’m skimming through some websites and I’m finding glasses that retail for $200+ for 2 of them. She’s got like 14-16 in various colors. She’s got silver chargers to put the china plates in when you set the table. It’s nuts. ...

re: Best place to sell “fancy” household items - Jj283
Will do. I’ll be with the items Saturday/Sunday. It’s all in Opelousas. Also have a house to sell there, if anyone can recommend a good realtor in the area. We aren’t from there and don’t really know anyone who is. ...

re: Home Depot Home Automation Clearance - HOT DEALS - Jj283
Well, guess who’s getting off the couch to catch Home Depot before they close at 10:00. Thanks MC! My wife is thrilled! Haha ETA: no luck at Houma location. Everything still full price. ...

re: Painting Truck Bed Liner - Jj283
Yes. Well with the professional bed liner you can anyway. Good friend has a shop and they do this all the time with boats. Sprays the liner then comes over top with an automotive paint. I’ve also seen him do a few vehicles the same way. Hasn’t had any issues that I know of. ...

re: Outdoor Fan Recommendations - Jj283
Agree with being careful. I have big drum fan from Lowe’s - it makes noise like it means business, but I think a fart from my 4-yr old moves more air than that fan does. It’s an option but I’d really like something mounted so it’s out of the way. ...

re: Outdoor Fan Recommendations - Jj283
These look nice, still concerned about head space. What height is your roof? I know the Lasko Squirrel cages work well but I’m not sure my wife will like they look. Just from the responses so far I’m leaning towards the air king, but I may grab one of all of these and at least see how they ...

Outdoor Fan Recommendations - Jj283
We will be putting up an aluminum awning and I am starting to look at outdoor fans. We won’t have the headspace for a ceiling fan, so I was looking for other options. If possible I’d like to find something that isn’t extremely loud, has good output, will have a decent lifespan and could poss...

re: How Nashville Became One Big Bachelorette Party. - buzzfeed - Jj283
Do they still have Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville? I can remember freshly turned 21 me being amazed the first time I walked into that place. Have been there on a Bachelor party as well, i was very disappointed when the talented young lady dancing in my lap wasn’t allowed to take her top off....

re: Requirements to call a room a “bedroom”? - Jj283
Fairly certain it has to have a closet and a window. Makes sense, the closer for obvious reasons, and the window for a route of egress in the event of a fire. ...

re: Spare tire pully on Chevy Silverado trucks - Jj283
Agreed. Terrible system. If you think it sucks while it’s functioning properly, wait until it refuses to come down when you need it. I had to cut the damn thing off with an angle grinder, it was awesome. ...

re: Seriously, if you are from Louisiana but didn't go to LSU, why not? - Jj283
I didn’t go because my sister went before me and screwed off, and dropped out. After they my parents weren’t big fans of me going to LSU, also had a long term girlfriend (wife now) and she wasn’t going either. I went to Nicholls, got an Accounting Degree and finished school with ZERO debt. ...
