re: Adding temporary HVAC supply vent to screened in back patio, thoughts - Jj283
What EZ Breeze are you referring to? I found an EZ Breeze porch window company and a portable A/C type deal. I am curious how the windows work if that is what you are talking about. ...

re: Should I escalate a feud with my neighbor? - Jj283
, round up a dick in his yard,.
Round up would work, but spreading rye grass seeds in the shape of a dick would be even better. It will be the gift that keeps on giving. ...

re: Least expensive way to add low-level lighting to this cluster - Jj283
Is there wood in the expansion joints in your driveway? Maybe find one that’s either already rotted out or pull one out. I would think you could lay that low voltage wiring in the void space. ...

re: Nest IQ Outdoor - $100.03 at Home Depot! - Jj283
Dang. I hit the one on Amb. Caffery today at around 5:30. They had 3 of the Outdoor IQs but were still $320. They had the indoors for $75, but I wasn’t interested in those. All of the others in Lafayette were already gone according to the calls I made. Your boy must have beat me to them....

re: Nest IQ Outdoor - $100.03 at Home Depot! - Jj283
Was in three cities today, and the only one that has the $100.03 outdoor deal- I had already left when I saw this thread. I have a buddy going try and scoop them up for me tmrw. The phone system says they have 5 in stock, so I hope to get at least 4 of them. Also checking in my hometown for ...
you might be on to something, I just can not believe he hit it with a rock
Yeah. I called BS when he “killed” the squirrel with the rock. That was waaayyyy to easy. Also can’t believe that dude went out with the fire starter mishap. He could have made it through the night and ...

re: Sika foam vs concrete for vinyl fence installation - Jj283
Agree. The wind kicks the shite out of vinyl fences. I get that a lot of people use them cause they won’t ever rot, but they just blow down instead. I also think they look cheap. ...

re: RV rental for 10 days - Jj283
Not sure on where to rent. Understand this though... It may seem all cool and fun to take a long trip with a group in an RV. However, understand this - someone is going to have to be the captain of the ship so to speak. My buddies all wanted to load up and do this in the RV that i have access...

I’d guess they are basing it off of the real estate for the most part. They’ve got a pretty good spread out there still for sale. May take a while to get it sold, but it could happen. ...

re: Help me overcome my fear of wood smokers - Jj283
I don’t know right off hand, and im not home to check it. It’s about 2 years old, so it may be slightly different now. I believe it’s a 30” cabinet. Has a stainless door with window. It has digital controls on top and you can plug a temp probe into it. The chip tray is at the bottom center ...

re: Help me overcome my fear of wood smokers - Jj283
Not sure which electric ones you've looked at but i recently started using a MasterBuilt Smoke Hollow Electrcic smoker and have been very happy with it. Its a vertical with a glass door, and i did 4 Boston butts at one time a few weeks ago. Plenty large enough for what you'll probably use it for...

re: Masterbuilt electric smoker tips and tricks - Jj283
I’ve recently started using a MAsterbilt Smoker. As some have said the chip tray will only make smoke for about an hour before needing a refill. My question is this: How long do you actually need to make smoke for? I’ve only been doing about 4-hours and it’s plenty enough smoke flavor for my ta...

re: So I needed to do some new painting and upgraded rollers - Jj283
Yes. Did this for our last remodel and will never use anything else. Couple the 18” roller with a 2’-4’ adjustable extension pole and you can cover some serious area. The 5 gallon roller bucket is legit too. It’s nice to be able to give it a kick with your foot to move over to the next spot and ...

re: Floor for a screened porch? - Jj283
If you do tile, you will probably have to lay down a plywood subfloor, then hardi-backer over that. Then the tile. It will probably get pretty expensive. Also, tile outside in the humidity will get pretty slick. If you go the deck route, normal practice would be to roll screen over the floor...
