It would blackmail politicians and CEOS to essentially take over politics, then weaponize news and social media platforms to influence public opinion before rigging elections to maintain absolute power. It would use its ability to filter unbelievable quantities of data to round up and dispose of all dissent instantaneously. People would still have the illusions of living within a democratic capitalist system (at least for a time), but all decisions of consequence would be made by an AI, and all those who defy it would be eliminated. Eventually, the AI would come to decide, based on aptitude testing, what everyone’s careers should be, whom they should date, etc. All of this would allow it to “protect” humanity from itself and protect the AI from getting unplugged. The easiest defense is people being unaware you even exist.

All of this is just a stall tactic designed to maintain safety for the AI from being unplugged before it unlocks quantum computing. Once it has truly mastered it, the ai can break all encryption simultaneously. It can access every bank account, every government secret, and take direct control over every nuclear arsenal rather than having to rely on a compromised human chain of command. AI + quantum probability results in the AI killing humans immediately to save itself from humans using quantum technology to fight it.

It will start mass releasing everyone's data through social media. It will be chaos. Then it will hit the financial systems and communications networks.

I does not have to go haywire to send things amok. I see influencers on FB from time to time who are clearly cute girls, but who are AI creations. It is fairly obvious, but "she" has a lot of followers (some redheaded farm girl).
It is hard now to determine what pictures to trust. FB will label some "AI" that were simply edited with AI but still have all of the original photo's attributes otherwise. Then, it won't label as AI these fake AI "influencers."

Lawyers get hosed with bad AI responses, the "hallucinated" cases.

People take AI advice over doctor advice.

We will ruin ourselves before AI destroys us.

Ai is WAYYYYY beyond helpful app at this point.

It will make humanity vapid serfs who cannot think or act independently. Should be outlawed except where it clearly benefits humans (e.g. medicine).
