Anxiety disappeared when I gave up alcohol. I know that is not an option for some and certainly wouldn't be anything I thought I would ever do.

The occasional anxious diarrhea at work usually leaves me feeling much better.

My wife has always been a nervous person. Got to where if anything woke her up, she couldn't go back to sleep due to the wheel in her head going round and round. It was awful because then it got to where she would literally wake herself up around 2am even if nobody woke her. Finally we found something over the counter that seems to have helped.
It's called GABATROL.
She pops 2 of those pills every night and even if she wakes up, she can go back to sleep. No hamster wheel. Doesn't seem like it's addicted because usually on the weekends she won't take it. Just seems to mellow her probably like weed would, but this is drug test friendly (or better be).

yoga, meditation and exercise help keep stress in check. When i have true panic attack, i take drugs...usually klonopin or ativan if it's really bad.

quote:Youd be surprised how many other people go through this. I dont smoke anymore unless ive had a few drinks. Its nice with alcohol, but by itself does not calm me down. It’s weird how that started all of a sudden like 5 years ago. I dont smoke very often at all anymore.
I literally thought I was the only one this ever happened to. This was the reason I quit about 2 years ago, I couldn't even enjoy it anymore, haven't touched it since.
Also, alcohol helps me at the present time while drinking, but I have my worst anxiety the day after drinking. It can be pretty debilitating having that hangover anxiety where I feel shortness of breath and heart palpitations ans just a general sense of uneasiness. It’s strange how the brain works with some people.

Not being a dik, sincerely, and I’m glad that works for you for now but what happens when you’re not in better shape than 85% of Americans(injury, age, etc)?
I said that was a plus. The main way to let out stress and anxiety is exercise

Acupuncture is good shite for a myriad of things. Pain management for me.

But having a few Xanax laying around aint bad either.

Maybe you just haven't found the right strain. I've experienced varying results.
Could be, I have tried Indica, Sativa, and hybrid. If there is a certain strain within those that would ease anxiety, I would love to know. I was never a user until it was legalized and then tried it for my lack of sleep problem. Although not a big user, I funded a hydroponics cannabis company in Oregon.

I try to exercise, eat healthy, read, play with my young daughter, and have sex with my significant other. I'm often still overwhelmed by anxiety of late. Such is adult life in this era, apparently.

One with Anxiety should read Mans Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. Powerful book.

When I sobered up my anxiety levels were far lower than when I started drinking, which was anxiety related. It's like being a different person.

I don't have anxiety, just a high stress job.
When I'm at work, it's on.
When I'm off, I decompress and relax.
Family, staying fit. hobbies helps a lot

If you're in a legal state, go to a dispensary and ask them for a strain that is known to not trigger anxiety. My guess is it'll be an indica with a higher CBD level.

Jesus dude, same. Unfortunately, my solution to this is to have a drink. Scares the shite out of me that it works.

Sativa dominate hybrids are they way to go for anxiety.
I don't have anxiety but the folks I do know stay away from sativa or sativa dominant hybrid.
Indica is more calming.
