Archery. Hard to worry about something else when that bow is drawn back.

Edibles suck. Never understood the love for them on the internet. Same for vape pens.

Smoking a joint or a glass bong is the only way to go.

Xanax. Not something I take every day ( think I’ve taken 1 maybe in the last 2 weeks ) I try to push through.. but I keep in my pocket in case it’s overwhelming

This is the right answer. I have it prescribed and .5 mg does the trick every time if I feel anxiety coming on. I actually probably haven't had to take one in a couple months...for a while I would average about 2 a week.

It's very common these days, especially with the sativa strains out there. I experience it every now and then, but nothing too bad. CDB supposedly helps alleviate some of it, but I've never tried it.

Sorry to hear that. It sound more like generalized anxiety but not sure. True panic disorder can be crippling. Another thing that helped me was rigorous exercise.

A shrink told me that adolescent use was a way to escape problems, and developed adult use brought my concerns to the forefront. Don't know if that's exactly true, but it sure happens that way.

Loosely scientific idea here, but I think our species has a certain amount of stress response that has evolutionarily proven beneficial for survival (getting more alert in the dark, etc). Modern society has made life so easy for us these preloaded systems aren’t being used for practical applications. Instead, they create problems against which to toil.

I think that, leaving aside the ‘reject society’ approach, the best remedy for this is to inject artificial stress into one’s life: exercise hard, set physical goals, get engaged at work, take on a new project around the house. Then, the anxieties around little stuff will be put into perspective.

I take Z-Quill at night. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and my mind would start working. I'd solve every work problem I had but the next day I would be too exhausted to remember half of what I went through in my mind. Now I also do CBD oil at night which also seems to have a calming effect on me.

I sleep pretty well at night now.

I could see that being 100% true. Never had any of these issues in college because I was stress-free and had very little responsibilities. Once I hit the real world, the only things I thought about were my responsibilities. I guess I'll just have til retirement to light one back up.

I don't get anxious about little things, really. Out of nowhere, I'll experience a physical sensation akin to the only time I've had a legitimate panic attack. I go back in to that hypochondriatic spiral I talked about earlier.

I'm sure a benzo would work, but I don't want a prescription. I have a few drinks and it goes away, which is not good, I know, but it works.

I'll also do some pseudo-yoga while listening to some jams from the ABB or Grateful Dead. Centers me pretty well.

Might be a blessing in disguise. A different doc with a fresh perspective on a patient's condition may have alternate/additional/modified treatment options to recommend, potentially better controlling her anxiety.

I'm no medical professional, but there's no way inhaling burning plant matter into your lungs is good for you.

In the past two years or so, smoking has made me anxious. I might take a puff or two if I've got a good buzz on, but if I do it sober now, my heart rate goes through the roof and I go in to a hypochondriatic anxiety spiral. Feels bad, man.

Me too. It comes and goes but has been a recent thing

Actually meditation including prayer is great for anxiety. So is outdoor exercise.
