re: What do companies do for their employees milestone anniversaries now?

We use to get a gold tie pin at each 5 year “milestone” anniversary, each was the company logo with a different precious stone affixed in the middle. Think I got two of those. Then it went to a watch and a plaque for my next three. For my last milestone, it was still a plaque and I was given a catalog I could order from. The more years of service you have, the nicer your options are. I ordered a chainsaw. My next milestone, 35 years, is coming up soon. No idea what my options will be this time.

30 years and got a shout out on our LinkedIn page.

I just made 30 in February. I was given a link to choose from. Value is 150 at best. Still haven’t picked anything as nothing stands out that would say “that is what I got for my 30th”. A JBL speaker or cat tower just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t even remember what I chose for my 25 or 20. Not long ago, for 25 years we had the quarter century club. Company would fly everyone celebrating that year, and their spouse for a weekend in Boston. Sox game, tour, nice dinner, now a link

This comment is depressing.
Take care of your people and your people will then take care of the company.

In the 1950's the manufacturing company my Father worked for had parts of sterling silver tea sets for anniversaries.
Awarded at their Christmas Party, the pieces were engraved with the employee's name and years with the company and, of course, the company name.
Every year someone had enough years to get the tea pot, and some years they even got the massive serving tray. The sugar and creamer were more common..

Big waste of money and everyone’s time to do something like this. If you need validation that badly that you want something like this you need therapy worse than the job. Granted it was a cool thing back in the day when they’d give you like a nice watch after 30 years or something. But those days are long gone. I work you give me money that’s the employer employee relationship as it should be
I got a down jacket for 5 years. It's still my go-to for winter.
Got a watch for 10.

I got a plaque. My best friend is a pump salesman. He’s been working at the same place for 30 years he got a Rolex every 10th anniversary.

I got my name and 20 years posted on our intranet home page.
That’s about it.

My company still acknowledges anniversaries. We do 1,5,10,20,30,40 years and retirement. They get a gift and a celebration of some sort. The size and value depends on the time employed.

Every 5 years we would receive a link to a catalog with the usual choices. At twenty years I was able to choose an AR-15.

Employees were given a catalog that depending on your time in service, you could pick the item in your anniversary group. Some of the items included gas grills, video cameras, iphones, kitchen appliances, winter clothing. Some really good stuff if you had been there a while.

They ask you not to let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

My company gives an extra week of PTO and a cash bonus for 5,10.
15 and up gets the extra week, but the gift is usually more personalized.
I rarely use my full 6 weeks of PTO, so I'll take the extra week or two of pay for whatever I haven't burnt.

M company used to give a 30 day paid sabbatical when you hit 5 years and again in 5 year increments. They stopped offering it after Covid almost push us out of business. I was the first person hired after the COVID debacle.
I hit 5 years this month. No sabbatical for me. That would be so sweet to get a paid month off.

32 years next month….i got a new boss that has no idea what we do or how we do it

For my 25th they put my name on a power point slide above the other anniversary names. As long as I’m getting paid, iDGAF.
