Just curious, what is the norm these days for say 10, 15, 20 years of service in a company? Last company I was with they gave airfare and hotel in Hawaii.
Where I'm at now, not even close. Just curious what is normal now? I've heard of companies giving bonuses, nice watches, vacations, but I think those kind of things are in the past.

Nobody does anything like that anymore. Hell, companies don’t keep people that long anymore.

Send me a link to a “store” for a bunch of knock off stuff. Coolest thing I got was a G-Shock watch for my 20.

Nothing. That's what the money is for.

The money is the basic agreement in exchange for showing up everyday. That doesn't show appreciation for longevity.

I got a set of green pans for my 20th Make 25 years next June and it’s probably not going to be much better. They send us a book to choose from.

I make a non-elective contribution to that employees 401K. Amount depends on how long they have been here.

5 years gets $1500
10 years gets $3500
15 years gets $7500
20 years gets $15000

My longest employee has been with us for 24 years. Not sure what Ill do for her 25...

95% of people who stay with the same company for 20+ years are suckers.

You have to constantly move every 3-5 years it seems to get a major bump or grow.

There is a small contingent that always seem to find promotions and can stay somewhere.

That’s never been me though unfortunately. I perform well and they don’t want to move you from that spot….so you get stuck.

Ten Years I get a red badge, and a $3K cash bonus yay

My company's compensation structure for years three and four is what I cared more about. Year 4, all my RSU's vested at 40%.

Commercial electrician I know just hit his 30 years with the company. The owner surprised him with a brand new decked out Silverado ZR2. Probably an $80k truck.

Big waste of money and everyone’s time to do something like this. If you need validation that badly that you want something like this you need therapy worse than the job. Granted it was a cool thing back in the day when they’d give you like a nice watch after 30 years or something. But those days are long gone. I work you give me money that’s the employer employee relationship as it should be.

I got a Rolex at 10 years at my last company. I didn't make it 20, but for that they give you a month off and $20,000, or at least they used to.

My current company gives you a month sabbatical at 5 years. Not sure if 10 years is something else.

friend of mine is an electrical contractor, every employee that’s been there five years or more gets a new truck every other year, the engineers and estimators and job superintendents very well taken care of

Back in 2003, for my 10-year anniversary at work I got a large Big Green Egg. Awesome gift! Much better than a Rolex for me!
