Watch: Josh Pate Rips The AP Top 25 For LSU's New Ranking

LSU jumped three spots from No. 11 to No. 8 in the latest AP Top 25 after crushing Clemson 51-10 in Tiger Stadium.

Despite the move, many believe the Tigers should be ranked much higher after one of the most dominant wins of Week 1.

College football analyst Josh Pate is one of them. During his show this week, Pate ripped LSU's No. 8 ranking and said he expected the Tigers to be inside the Top 3 after Saturday's blowout win.

I agree... but it will take care of itself in due time. If LSU beats two Top 10 teams to close out September, they will likely be #1 going into October (Which absolutely means nothing).

I'm fine with the ranking. We really don't know if LSU is that good or Clemson's that bad.
The quarterback scrambles really well but he also had some overthrows and underthrows. The receivers had dropped passes. Also if the quarterback keeps running like that, he's not going to last the whole season.

I'll start forming an opinion when I see how they play against Ole Miss
