There is nothing wrong with Amazon. You can get most everything you want, fast.
If you know what you want, brand etc. Then sure. If you don't know EXACTLY what you want it gets murky.
You can't get a safe, working phone cable because they have about 100 Chinese options stocked with 5 star AI reviews. That will all burn your phone up. And this is true for loads of other products.
Despite this being an issue for years, it seems to be unresolved

Roofers. Easily.
They “do you a favor” and deal with insurance directly, so they can charge the insurance company triple the normal rate for a roof.
So everyone’s rates can skyrocket.
Worse humans than used car salesmen.

It's a regional issue, but Food City is a major grocery chain in East Tennessee.
I don’t see this as much different than other regions. I’ve been in ETn for four years and it’s as average of a grocery store as any. Some people love Publix, but damn they’ve become expensive as shite.

PE. all of it.
black rock, state street, vanguard.
why is everything you listed shitty? those three and PE in general drive the product and its quality to the bottom of the priority list and financials to the top.

The word is enshittification and sums up modern society.
Everything is getting worse but the politicians, elites, and dumbasses tell you we are doing better than ever.

Swapping out experienced American engineers for visa holders or offshore contractors just to slash labor costs by 40%, while crying "talent shortage" to the government. I see it first hand, and it irks the frick out of me.

I've had the personal misfortune of having to deal with these:
AT&T
FED EX
Scummiest is how calculated both are attempting to reduce refunds even when rhey make errors through all sorts of convoluted resolution processes.
WALMART
AMAZON
Agree about these being more consumer friendly but absolute monsters in using their financial and political power to destroy/drain small American businesses.

It's easier to list the few that aren't, but I can't think of any large scale companies that are not scummy.

Microsoft should be at or near the top of this list by a large margin.

WalMart look into how they destroy smaller, local grocers
Going to be a contrarian here and say that Walmart is a great company selling mostly quality things at a low price. Coming from a small business owner, small businesses get romanticized but 90% of them are run like shite by scumbag losers and deserve to go out of business. The good ones are still in business and there’s still a huge market for quality local grocery stores
The real casualties of giant grocery stores like Walmart aren’t the crappy grocery stores that got run out of business by them, it’s the adjacent industries like mom and pop corner stores that stopped existing altogether.

I've been with then over 30 years. Never did me wrong
While they may not have done you wrong they did wrong to alot of their other customers.
10 years ago WF got caught creating 3.5 million fake accounts together with fax PINS and email addresses for real customers moving funds from one account to another without the customers knowledge or consent. roughly 5300 employees were fired over this and WF paid a $185 million fine to CFPB and later settlement of $3 billion with the DOJ and the SEC.

Let me say I would never support actually assassinating a CEO, but I can sure as hell understand why that guy snuffed the United Healthcare guy.
