Harder to list the not scummy companies.
Clothing companies have nearly all declined in quality while charging higher prices.
Almost all “luxury” brands are cheap Chinese slop surviving off of retards who buy the brand name.
Car companies with their shift to subscription fees and tech that monitors you more and more.
Restaurants are all serving Sysco slop while charging premium prices.
Take your pick.

The documentary - War-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price is worth a watch.
I say that they are not a great company. I don't like that they destroyed so many mom and pop stores. They underpay their employees so that most of them are on government benefits. That costs us all. They leave abandoned buildings, which make our communities look bad. They hire illegals. Nope, I don't support Walmart.
I'll also add Facebook to the list here.

WalMart look into how they destroy smaller, local grocers
Low prices hurt consumers?
Hurts shareholders, which is everything to a public traded company.

Not sure to lump them as 1 or give each their due for taking advantage of their users while making BILLIONS selling their data and not paying them a single penny for it and Congress letting them get away with it year after year.
Tesla / EM entities
Facebook / Meta
Twitter / X
Etc

in which the schmuck took my food, marked the order as complete, drove off, and no refund was given to me.
This happened to me and I was refunded within minutes and given a discount. I've never had an issue getting refunds when something is screwed up. Must be a you problem.

Why did it take 3 pages to list the #1 (and it's not close!)?

don’t see this as much different than other regions
It likely isn't. My major issue is that they bought a handful of local grocery stores that were excellent, then ran them into the ground so that they could sell the real estate.
I mean, that's their prerogative. But it bothers me, because I loved my local grocery. Had been in operation for almost 100 years, and had damn good food, and an excellent butcher counter. FC, in comparison, is dog-food grade. I've had to find a local butcher instead of using FC.
It's petty and personal, but I hate that store.
