re: Nuss was thinking NFL

People criticize him for crying but then say he doesn’t care. Makes no sense. Why would he cry if he were indifferent?

Well he definitely cares about his career, fame, and future gigantic NFL salary going up in flames. If you think he’s crying about whether LSU wins or loses you’re insane. The arrogance, lack of preparation, and lack of accountability combined with the crybaby tantrums when he personally has a bad game is very off putting

They offered the job to Mark Stoops and it caused such a fan meltdown they pivoted away from that and hired Elko who was 16-9 at Duke.

We hired Verge Ausberry, our fanbase melted for good reason, and our hardheaded governor doubled down. How good would A&M be with Stoops right now? About as good as we’re going to be under Ausberry’s “leadership”

A&M has intelligent, rational people running the show and making hires. I don’t see how anyone can look at our university leadership and see anything other than a complete shitshow going forward
I never understood how we have the resources and athletes we have but still sucked for most of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s but it makes perfect sense now. I don’t think this is going to get better.

I’ve always said that A&M has always sucked because they’re a bunch of freaks culturally and it makes it hard to build and maintain a winning football culture, and I’m not going to be blind to the fact that we’re in the same position just with piece of shite politicians and good ole boys ruining it for everyone.
Probably has something to do with the fact that we throw the ball downfield maybe 2-3 times per game

re: Thoughts on retaining Baker

Posted by Forever on 11/9/25 at 8:18 am to
He’s been excellent this year. Guys play hard for him and he gets the most out of them. The defensive situation can be way worse, see Matt House, and we need to do whatever we can to retain him IMO, and I’m usually a big “clean house completely” guy. We need his attitude, leadership, and connection with the players right now
I would’ve agreed yesterday morning but the way they coached and game planned yesterday afternoon was some weak arse shite. Baker is the only person I’m remotely impressed with on the staff to keep a defense playing hard without Weeks and while the offense doesn’t have a pulse. I was very disappointed that Frank didn’t just send it and we were playing not to lose
I’ll set an alarm at 2 AM tonight and get into character
Aranda is 5-4 at Baylor in year 6 and Saban was 9-2 at Michigan State in year 6, ignoring the glaring personality deficiencies Aranda has. The sad thing is I don’t even think you’re trolling

ETA: don’t make me get jgriffith’s old arse in this thread to lay some more elder-on-elder abuse on you like he did in the last thread

You like every Lane lover on here is FOS. Lane isn't coming, but even if he did he"s going to flirt with going to the NFL every year or listen to some other college program enticing him down the road. Who knows he might be NFL bound after this season. The Giants are going to come calling right after they fire Daboll.

You’re a straight up fricking retard and you can see in my post history that I was arguing against Lane yesterday because I don’t think he’s a good option. There are literally hundreds of HC’s and coordinators who would be better options here than Aranda though and that doesn’t change my initial response of how terrible of a hire a guy who erupted in flames at Baylor would be
Cool idea. Maybe then we can go 1-11 every few years with a win against Bama between our 0-12 seasons that duo would cook up on the regular

What is off putting about it?

OP is some annoying corporate hack who probably loves goofy office small talk and being part of his “work family” and is butthurt that his boss is doing something that makes him feel good at the expense of being exactly like everyone else. If I had to sit in an office all day I’d turn my lights off too to not die inside from staring at ugly fluorescent lighting 24/7

Got punked twice by Deboer in his first season with a much better roster, blown out by ohio state last year, and is going to be a fringe playoff team this year. Oregon was a wagon before him, he hasn’t elevated the program

This is completely false. Oregon had a good year in 2019 but aside from that they had one 10+ win season in 6 years, meanwhile Lanning has them rolling with 3, 2, 1, and 1 losses respectively.

But I’m sure you do want Kiffin who had his shite absolutely shoved in by LSU, unranked Arkansas, and unranked Texas Tech in the same season, because Lanning had one big loss in the playoffs to the best program in the country right now. How has Kiffin done in the playoffs again in his now 6 years at an SEC school?

That clocks though, our fans are morons and we have a lot more Jeff Landry’s in this state than whoever is making the decisions at Ohio State, which is why we’ll never be highly successful consistently even though our resources are roughly the same as theirs
If that’s accurate that’s pretty concerning because Lanning should be the #1 option out of those 3 by a country mile

Another dickhead Kelly? Sign me up

No joke. Because a northern a-hole named Kelly who was nearing the end of his prime 10 years ago and is notorious for being lazy and hating recruiting is definitely what we need right now
Why can’t you put the best D2 football player in the SEC and have them step in and dominate? There’s levels to this. Everyone in the SEC is the absolute best at what they do, it’s pretty insulting to the coaches to act like they’re not on a completely different level than someone who can win a natty at Southern
