Do you think parents are going to send their kids to Abbeville high over this?
Not every kid that goes to VC is zoned for Abbeville High. A bunch are not.
There are plenty of other options. The charter school, STM, ND, Teurlings. Not to mention a big number that go there would go to Kaplan, Erath, NV.
But to answer your question...No, I doubt any person would pull their kid out to send them to Abbeville High.

I guess it’s my fault, I should’ve said JH Williams. This isn’t for high school, it’s just through 8th grade right now.
But, if you’re sending your kid to a private school, I find it hard to believe that you would send your kid to whatever public school you are zoned for over this rule.

Same thing I said applies. A lot of them aren't zoned for that school regardless.

I doubt anybody does. But if they strictly enforce it and certain kids start getting in trouble, then yeah it could happen.
VC can't really afford to lose enrollment as it is. So just the threat of leaving would shut it down. They also can't afford to lose certain money people. So if any of those are pissed off by this, it will end. Thats why I said I expect it to be walked back, or not enforced at all, or they will run the priest out of town.

I’ll never forget this story for some reason but my Junior year at Notre dame we had a teacher who really shouldn’t have been in a classroom. Got so bad that they hid a microphone in the classroom and we got wind of it. Someone blurts out “We have a right to know where it is and if we’re being recorded!”
Coach Cook walks up there and looks the kid dead in the eyes and goes “Son, you go to a catholic school. You don’t have any rights. To anything.” A pen drop would’ve sounded like an atomic bomb in there the rest of the year

I would be interested to see how many schools in the diocese roll out this policy, I know of 2 so far. I doubt it will just stay at 2.

I think they have about 30 per grade, which is roughly the same as it was 20 years ago when I was in high school.
