Unpopular opinion: America The Beautiful should be the national anthem

This popped up on my feed and reminded me
Better melody, better lyrics, better time signature. It feels more sing-able to the average person. Imagine entire stadiums erupting to the "America, America!" instead of the awkward flow of The Star Spangled Banner

First off, those of us that can sing, have no trouble with the Star Spangled Banner.
Second, America the beautiful, while a great song, really doesn't tie to any historic American event. Someone took a hike up Pikes Peak and wrote a poem about it.
Third, and disappointingly, with the words "God shed his grace on thee" in it, the liberals would never go for the change...

The United States was literally born in battle. The anthem stays. And “America the Beautiful “ is boring, generic, Hallmark Channel shite.

I came here to say this. There are other national anthems with nice melodies that generically describe the landscape and how nice the country is, but are ultimately kind of boring.
The Star Spangled Banner is more interesting and memorable.
