One of a few good choices...for purely getting in the patriotic mood, the coda to Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever really gets my patriotic juices flowing. Sounds like one ot those jaunty eastern european martial style national anthems. Especially like the piccolo section heading into the loud and faster finale.

Hard pass.

It's a beautiful song. It is a love song to the nation. Similar to "This Land is Your Land".

Whereas Woody was a Marxist who just happened to love America, Katharine Lee Bates was a progressive globalist, who also just happened to love America.

#FrancisScottKey

The Star-Spangled Banner or bust for me.

TSSB is set to the tune of an old English pub drinking song. You cannot improve on that.

We need a national anthem written like the Italian's.

Instead of being somber, it is such a joyful song, especially when you have something to be happy about.

This would be my vote if it had to change

And “America the Beautiful “ is boring, generic, Hallmark Channel shite

You apparently never listened to the third verse.

First off, those of us that can sing, have no trouble with the Star Spangled Banner.

I agree wholeheartedly! But with that said, it seems like every time some celeb sings the national anthem prior to any event, they butcher the living dog-shi+ out of the "...la-and of the freee-EEEEEEeEeEeeeEEEEE..." part and it makes me want to go to war on their arse!

Absolutely agree if, and only if, it’s the Ray Charles version

Hell no. America was born with rockets red glare and bombs bursting in air.

Our flag was still there…because we weren’t a bunch of pussies worried about melody and harmony and how singable our national anthem is.

You want a singable anthem, move to Canada, you flipping hoser.

It’s a much better song than the SSB

The only acceptable replacement for the Star Spangled Banner is the Topgun theme as is, no lyrics needed.

The Star Spangled Banner is more interesting and memorable.

Because it's currently the national anthem and has been forever...If ATB was the national anthem and people were pushing for the SSB, you wouldn't say that about the SSB, because you wouldn't have hardly ever heard it.

The Star Spangled Banner doesn’t describe when the nation was born though. It refers to the War of 1812.

I remember a few years ago all my liberal friends on facebook started crying in unison due to their sudden epiphany that the star spangled banner is RACIST bc of the third verse nobody sings For that reason alone we need to keep it
