Agreed 100%. frick cyclists, they should not be allowed on the road, they are a massive danger and are typically the most arrogant pieces of shits out there.

That's not an unpopular opinion. The only people who disagree with you are cyclists for the most part. They are the worst.

That's not necessarily an unpopular opinion.

I agree. Bikes have every right to ride in the road but also have to follow the laws of the road.

The problem I have with many of the biking advocates is that just because you have the right to ride in the road, doesn’t make it safe. It’s on the cyclist to decide whether or not the road is safe.

They are the worst in the mountains. I'm an extremely safe driver, and I drive a Wrangler which is just not a speed demon car, and I've almost run over at least 5 cyclists in the mountains. You just cannot see them around turns, and they do not obey any of the traffic signs to stay on the outside of the lanes for visibility.

Whole bunch of fatties here who sound like they got Jody'd by a dude in tights. Beta mentality tbh. I'm about to head out on a New Years Day ride, might even lane split some cars at a red light.

In my neighborhood growing up there was a mentally handicapped Auburn fan who would put on a full uniform and go into his yard and attempt to tackle the trees. On game days he would stand at the curb wearing a whistle and holding a clipboard while listening to the game on a headset.

Whenever I see a cyclist taking up a lane of traffic in full speedo suit and spoiler helmet, I can’t help but be reminded of that man.

Yes they are. I lived in the Dallas are for several years and these idiots loved to ride during rush hours of course occupying the full lane.

The ones that kill me are the idiots who ride against traffic on the wrong side of the road.

Too many times I've come to a stop sign on a divided street, looked to my left to see if any traffic is oncoming first, then proceed to make the right hand turn only to catch sight of some idiot hauling arse from the right, riding against traffic. If I don't brake, they slam into my passenger front fender.

One time a cyclist pulled next to me at a red light and came to a stop. I was shocked, first time I'd ever seen it. Then I realize he was just adjusting his sock, and he proceeded to ride right on through.

It's also a dangerous hobby.

It's extremely dangerous when they ride on roads they shouldn't be riding on where they can't get out of the flow of traffic.
And they then act entitled, which doubles the danger to them.

I ride a bike for exercise, but generally stay on bike trails if I can. My usual route has me on a few 25 mph streets but briefly. Always get all the way to the right for cars to pass.

You are correct, though. Cyclists often ignore traffic laws unless it is convenient for them.

Thanks goodness all motor vehicle drivers follow all vehicular laws so we can finally throw these irresponsible cyclists in the slammer for good

The laws need to be changed. Riding on the sidewalk can get you the same ticket driving on the sidewalk gets you.

I would do it anyway, if I still had a bike.

The absolute worst cyclists IMO are the fat out of shape ones that act like they deserve the road and ride somewhere there's bike paths or quieter roads.

If you are in shape and doing 50 miles or something with a couple other in shape guys I don't mind sharing the road with you because I understand there's only so many places to safely go.

But if your arse is riding 12 miles on a $4000 bike and outfit you just bought last week then find somewhere freaking safe to ride that's not impeding traffic.
