I had a Lance Armstrong plow through a stop sign in the neighborhood right in front of me not too long ago. Like you I saw him coming and knew he wasn’t going to stop. I’ll share the road when they follow the same laws we have to.

My wife says we cyclists don't have to stop at stop signs. They're for motorized vehicles. I don't stop cuz too hard to start from dead stop.

Cyclists that insist on using busy highways unsafe to share with automobiles can eat rocks and their stupid little outfits render them completely unredeemable.

How many times has this happened to you?

This board is ultra triggered by cyclists but given the demographics, I just cannot imagine they actual encounter cyclists in the wild with any frequency.

Sorta recall that in Texas bikes have to obey regular rules and can not impede the flow of motorized vehicles… ie in a four lane road (two for each direction) they have rights to ONE lane… in two lane they have to stay out of the flow for motor vehicles…I recall finding this interesting when I studied for a renew test because when they fill up the entire one or two lanes I get a little angry.. and I bike daily… but I ride on the edge in my neighborhood and then hop on a bike trail…

I would say the opposite. Many are pricks that think they’re superior for some odd reason.

Funny, I was walking my dog along Lakeshore drive yesterday and had two cyclists do that very thing to me, almost clipping the dog. Biker mumbled a barely audible "on your left" as he flew by. Not before, but when they were on my side. You can't hear them coming like you can an automobile. I'd have killed one of them had they clipped my dog.
Once again, you people want respect, but you don't give it.

This is not unpopular at all.

Add in a population about half full of terrible drivers in general and you are going to have some conflicts.

Anybody know where I can find the old video where the baw in a big diesel truck smokes out the cyclists?

My take, which may be solely my own and no one else may support, is that the behaviors discussed that some of these cyclists display is the product of entitlement encroaching into more and more of everyday life.
It really makes me think a regular dash cam on a vehicle isn’t a bad idea.... to prove that it’s not always the motorist’s fault when any sort of accident occurs between a vehicle and a bicycle.
