Woke capital is the reason.

Lol once you've spilled blood on the altar of Woke you don't get to leave.

Anecdotal but I spent a modest $500 or so every quarter there on various things, mainly chicken feed. I know they will have what I need, hours are convenient and its close to my house. Once that guy started making those videos I briefly stopped and started going to the local co-op which is a hassle for me - its 25 minutes from my house versus 5, its more expensive, the hours suck. Will have to monitor the situation but I love the 180.
Some types will say money is what all they care about, they only changed when market cap/revenue went down. I am ok with that. They are beholden to shareholders. Not fractional percentages of the population chopping off dicks and ignoring science.

Essentially, the left bullied/bullied them into doing it. Their hands are "forced" to do it.
I get that. But the repercussions from doing so are way worse. Obv companies like Nike can manage this but with a company whose sole base is conservative/traditional leaning people it’s damn near suicide. You might as well close up shop.

LGBTQ groups will literally blackmail people into donating and supporting them.

That dude went from the President of Macy's to CEO and President of Tractor Supply? No wonder he thought it would be a good move to dive head first into the wokeness.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in the closet

It's more about their major investors push them into it. Who cares if the majority of your sales come from agriculture and middle America. They are forced to cater to investment bankers who couldn't find the arse end of a cow.
They risk getting their scoring downgraded and not be able to expand. Which has been the predominant philosophy for the last twenty years. It's borrowing to grow driving this.

Southwest hasn’t been the same since he left. People fail to realize how important one dedicated, passionate person can leave an indelible mark upon an institution or company. Herb was the damn MAN.

This just blows me away how stupid these CEOs are.
It's just business to them. I'd venture to guess that the CEO and majority of the board had never been in a Tractor Supply until they were asked to be on the board.
Or, had never sat on a tractor.

Because they hire executives “prestigious” credentials rather than a skill set of actually understanding the business. Those executives often have long lived in a financial strata WELL beyond their customer base…whom they look down upon. In that socio-economic strata virtue signaling is seen as a very valuable commodity.
The current CEO came from Macy’s by way of Ebay. Even if he may have been someone who once understood TSC’s core customers, that was lost once he earned a spot at the “cool kids” table. Thus, he doesn’t make decisions that appeal to his customers. He makes decisions he thinks his peers will approve of.
For the good of the company their customers need to continue to tank the stock. That will force the BOD to make a change and maybe regain an understanding of who there actual customers are

Somebody should have informed Noosecar, NFL, MLB, etc.
By the way, Rural King is much better than Tractor Supply.

Tennessee Pride Chamber complaining about Tractor Supply "caving to pressure from a select group" is quite rich in irony.

For what other reason would they do it?

Em, those 3 are doing just fine. And in the case of the latter two, they've never been more profitable.

Title is fairly misleading. The dip in stock price is fairly irrelevant.
Tractor supply stock price has been on a tear since 2020. Recent pull back was short lived and inconsequential. Overall trend has been up big for a long time.
Their DEI policies didn't seem to have any meaningful impact to stock price. Maybe it matters moving forward, but it would be hard to tell.
Last six months alone the stock price is up 25%. 148% in the last 5 years

This just blows me away how stupid these CEOs are. Who the frick in that company’s board room thought catering to LGbtqfjdodncnr and funding sex change operations would be a good idea? Seriously how much money has tractor supply made off the gay community over the years? I would love to know that stat.
These companies all eventually get to a point where the ship is sailing itself so they have the luxury of implementing this nonsense because they don't have to focus as much on operations. I'd bet this was all introduced by either a consultant or an activist(s) in HR
