It's the females and the feminization of society driving this. Just as men are biologically wired to hunt, protect, provide, etc., women are wired to nurture, defend, care, etc.
Since they're focused on trying to be men and playing the man's role, they're not filling their role and it leaves a gap. So they make up causes, infantilize people and cultures, and then try to "mother" the made up problem in lieu of mothering their own children (that often, they don't even have).

Pretty disgusting how the parents are all in on becoming the next Kardashian family. Is attention/fame really that intoxicating?

What the frick is a woman doing in the special operations command?
For starters, they have the standard HQ/support elements. Not everyone is a shooter.
Secondly, some operational elements within the SMUs employ women. They're not running around as assaulters in the sabre squadrons, but there is specialized support work that lends itself nicely to females.

Word on the street is they used a Casa (now Airbus)C-295W twin turboprop(Spanish built) which is a tactical transport but much smaller than a Hercules which would explain why they could not take the little birds with them because they just won't fit. I don't even think it has an official US designation because it's operated by some secret squirrel unit.
The CASAs were down the contingency chain.
The entire op was audible and contingency heavy. Which is the way they tend to go and why success is even more impressive.

Also, the CIA was involved in the rescue which also seems unusual. Is it possible this flight with a Colonel and CIA much more than what meets the eye?
EVERYone was involved in the rescue. It's not unusual at all. Not one bit.

If the Iranians had a new system it would be near value sites and being used again. All of the evidence points to a manual or a lucky shot with an anti-aircraft machine gun.

The earlier tweet itt that claimed passive infrared radar was some crazy super tech is ridiculous. It's the same tech that is in things like motion lights and smart home tech to detect if someone is in a room. It isnt some miracle in military radar that nobody knows about. It has its uses but it also has some major flaws like not being able to detect anything moving directly towards the sensor and short range compared to traditional radars.
Are you seriously confusing passive radar technology with passive infrared (PIR)? The R in PIR does not stand for Radar...you know that right?
Passive radar uses illuminators of opportunity vs. an active emission, which means EW systems are ineffective against it.
It also detects and targets stealth signatures more effectively than active radar. It is NOT useful for Fire Control, but there are very effective non-radar based anti-aircraft systems.
The post to which I referred was about an F-15 not receiving a radar warning/lock. This is entirely possible since passive radar was likely in use (hence no radar warning), which detected and targeted, and then FC was conducted by a non-radar AA system (infrared, etc.).

Passive radar can’t provide a targeting data, just tell you something is there
This is completely false. It's not the best option for direct fire control, but it can absolutely provide targeting data for non-radar guided systems (infrared, etc.).
An aircraft being shot down without ever being hit with active radar is entirely possible and very likely in this case, given who supplies Iran with AA/AD systems.

The F-15 never had a radar lock on it, ground systems like that would cause an alarm in the F-15. Most likely a manpad from everything I have read
Passive radar.
It wouldn't surprise me if China has systems deployed in Iran.

But there's absolutely a negative correlation.
Not denying that, but why?
Why do you feel that way? Have you had firsthand experience or because the OT says so?
Negative correlation.
I'm not talking about perception or feelings; I'm talking about the negative correlation between tattoos on women and the characteristics that lend themselves toward positive, stable, long-term relationships.
I stated my case in my previous post. It's not the tattoos that are the problem; it's the traits and thought processes that lead to them getting the tattoos. Those traits cause the tattoos and the tendency to be unstable.

Women are now more tattooed than men
Tattoos on women these days are indicators of several important things/traits:
- They are followers and easily influenced
- They don't consider long-term implications of their actions
- They are impulsive/compulsive
None of these traits are conducive to long-term stable relationships.
Fortunately, the traits can be unlearned.
Unfortunately, the tattoos remain.

Why argue over who's more capable of rescuing downed aircrew as if only one element gets the nod and everyone else is a bystander?
Everyone...and I mean EVERYone is involved on this one. If the WSO isn't recovered, it won't be because the wrong asset was assigned to the job.
This is a combined effort, to include units that don't normally do this kind of thing.
